Growing up Mormon, my life included many teachings of the evil of coffee. So, when I left the church at age 28, I obviously began to experiment with life to discover all of the things I had been missing out on. I found myself entering into the magically overwhelming world of coffee. I LOVED IT.
Going to local coffee shops became a favorite pastime. But, as we all know, that sh*t ain’t cheap! So I began researching ways to make my cuppa joe at home.
The French press was my first dream-making-machine, but as a procrastinator, I never cleaned it out right after use which made it very annoying to clean later in the day when I finally got around to it. And cleaning it is a PAIN in general.
Enter Chemex pour over. For the life of me I couldn’t get the grind size right. The ease of cleaning was great, but the flavor of my morning love was sub-par. She was a watery, high maintenance cup, but I kept her around for her easy to clean nature. But, like all bad relationships, that only lasted for so long before I broke.
It had been 3 years, living a shell of a life and putting in more than I was getting out of my relationships.
ENTER THE JOGO.
I still get butterflies when I see her. I put my coffee grinds in my cup, add hot water, give it a stir and wait a mere 4 minutes. Then I add some chocolate milk and peppermint creamer (where my mocha friends at!?) because I like it. I finally put my jogo in the cup with all of the creamy coffee goodness I have created. She (jogo) keeps all of the grinds out of each sip while simultaneously letting me enjoy the visual beauty of coffee grinds floating in a universe of water, milk, and creamer.
I guess you could say things are getting pretty serious. She’s moved in with me and I’ve met her parents. We’re in it for the long haul.
BUY IT.
TLDR; other coffee makers suck. This thing rocks.

This gadget is a game change! Now I just use the hot water, add my coffee and use this gadget for the coffee I choose and the strength that I like it at. When I am finished it is a simple rinse of the metal straw with the filter on the end. I dry it with a paper towel which I stuff into the paper cup and dispose of. So much easier than cleaning out a small coffee maker each time with all that use of water and paper towels.
I combined a mobile coffee kit:
the 12v kettle
JoGo stainless steel filtered straw
stainless steel coffee cup
bag of coffee grounds
She gets the water hot in the kettle. Pours grounds into her coffee cup and adds the hot water and the JoGo straw! Instant good coffee on the road.
This stainless steel straw filter works great for coffee on the go! Just keep it with a bag of your favorite grounds and you’ll be ready where ever there’s hot water. Add an electric kettle or boiling cup and never run out of coffee or tea.
I wish the straw was a bit longer 11 & 1/2 inches and unbent so it would fit my thermal 40 oz stainless steel cup. Still it works wonderfully in the smaller size cup.
Thanks JoGo!
This straw is well made and the filter will easily keep loose leaves, grounds, or pieces of fruit or other herbs in the cup and out of the straw and out of the drinker's mouth. It is long enough so you can comfortably drink through it from your average 20-ounce capacity Yeti type tumbler, but the curved top and slightly flared mouth means you won't be placing this straw through the straw opening of any tumbler or mug lid I have ever seen. I still don't like the texture and feel of silicone, so I probably won't be using the mouth piece cover that comes with this straw. I notice that an extra filter for the Gojo unit costs almost as much as this whole kit that comes complete with a draw-string closing mesh bag, a nice zipper close bag, and the silicone tip cover and filter installed. The filter design means that you need GoJo's filter, and I doubt you will find anybody else's straw that can fit it, until a copycat competitor becomes available.
I think that calling this a "brewing" system is a bit of a semantic stretch unless you consider the act of stirring your tea leaves or coffee grounds and mixing in other additives to be "brewing". With the five dollar price drop since I bought one, I might get a second one in a different color. I compares favorably in most respects to a number of Argentine and Brazilian bombillas I have bought for similar prices. Now, if Gojo could offer it in additional colors, like Red?

Honestly it's brilliant.... works just like they say, perfect coffee everytime and you can take it anywhere.
I just want to add it works just as well with loose Tea also....
One thing is the cleaning brush is inside the straw when you buy it, so make sure to take it out first.
