I’ve been wanting this watch for a long time. I’ve passed up some deals at authorized dealers offering small discounts off the $550 retail price but at $349, I just couldn’t refuse. You get all the features for a great price. The movement is made in Japan and is one of the main workhorse calibers offered by Seiko. It will run for decades to come. The case is extremely well made and I’d compare it to some of my Swiss watches. One thing I really like is the links in the bracelet don’t squeak like some bracelets do. It’s a big plus in my book. The bracelet also has the wetsuit extension class that enables the watch to be worn on a wetsuit sleeve for scuba diving. The rotating bezel is unidirectional and has a smooth rotation without rattling. I no longer scuba dive but I use the rotating bezel as a quick & low tech way to set a visual timer. The watch is extremely comfortable to wear and I can wear it all day long without irritation or discomfort to my wrist. I’ve even taken a couple of naps while wearing it and it still didn’t irritate me (I never sleep while wearing a watch). If you want a great watch, this is it.

Best watch possible for the price. Classic turtle design and excellent craftsmanship. Keeps time as well as my Omega Speedmaster.

The watch build and layout are great. The bracelet is so so but the watch is very comfortable and looks nice. Here's what sucks. This PADI Perspex isn't anything special at all. What is Hardlex crystal? Nothing but glorified K1 crystal, not sapphire or even close really. The movement has hack, hand wind and seem to keep good time... but I haven't monitored it that close. The day date change over is horribly slow. It start about 10 pm and finishes after 3am... so about a 1/4 day the watch is keeping a useless date. If you want a good diver there are better and cheaper. Other watches total a ETA 28xx movement, sapphire crystal, a better band, and at a better price.
