About this audiobook

Adeena Stuart is cellist in 2019 who finds herself living the life of another woman in 1746 Scotland, fighting to save a doomed man – the father of the woman's unborn child. Adeena is an alluring musician driven to compose and perform.

But it’s not until she somehow becomes Katharine, an 18th-century cellist and composer herself, that the music inside both women finds its timeless perfection.

Their composition, Song for a Lost Kingdom, transfigures the heart of James Drummond, who history records as dying shortly after the Battle of Culloden. His death starts a tragic chain of events that will haunt Katharine’s family for generations.

And Adeena’s family as well.

In ‘Love Never Surrenders,’ Book II of the Song for a Lost Kingdom trilogy, Adeena lies in a deep coma in 2019, fighting the expanding growth in her brain. But as Katharine, living in 1746 she races against time to change the course of history and save James from the inevitable death that awaits him as he follows Bonnie Prince Charles in the final tragic showdown at Culloden.

This unique twist on time travel will stay with you long after you read the final chapter.

“I was pulled into the lives of these complex characters and by the end became fully invested in their plights. I absolutely loved the ending and can not wait to see how this new situation progresses.” - Nevine Ramirez

“One of those rare stories that seem to make you part of the story, not just a reader." - Raewynn Osborne

This audiobook version features talented voice actors: Tom McLean and Bethany Mason. Original music by Paul van Geldrop and Marc Moretti and haunting vocal performances by soprano Ania Hejnar and Marion Arthur.

I loved this book and was very excited when it "Finally" came out because Song For A Lost Kingdom 1 had me anxiously awaiting more. I felt like I was left hanging. : ) Never has a series had me so intrigued and yearning for more than this one. Steve Moretti (the author) really does his research. . I just finished listening to the Audible original "The Life and Times of Prince Albert" not knowing what to expect and it was also interesting but what I loved is that it confirmed and solidified to me the meaning of Jacobite's and it talked about the Battle at Colleden. I am new to leaving reviews but I wanted to share how wonderful this author is and if you want to feel like you are right there in a story and if you like time travel you must read this series. I recommend starting at the beginning. You will be glad you did and you will anxiously await the next book. These words are purely my own. Patty B.

Listening to this prequel was a wonderful experience. It completely draws you in while the music in the background was hauntingly beautiful. Looking forward to listening to the next two books.
