ASUS makes good stuff
I have had this MB for a few years now and still does its job and does its role as a gaming and media pc.I picked this verson of ASUS's b550 motherboards for the front panel 3.2 USB port and 5v 3pin ARGB headers it comes with 2 and 2 other plain RGB headers and built in wifi . Asus nailed it when making this product . It is exactly what I was looking for in a motherboard.This is a rock solid motherboard providing spots for 2 m.2 nvme drives and even a usb 3.2 header for the front panelAura Sync and Armoury Crate all though can put a 12% load on the performance.... well it does it in style. and nothing I do on this pc really taxes the system its good for my useNot really anything bad to say about this mid level motherboard other than its hard to find locally so id buy it here if you still can.

It a good board and easily to install. The bios was also easy. But if you have never do a build remember to get the update on a flash drive first if you are able. If not you are able to update later. The other thing I want to explain when you are asked what are you intentions for the board please don't pick gaming because the drivers are broken. I have had to uninstall and reinstall twice now because the screen will freeze randomly, and the games don't like the amd gaming drivers, after hours of research I found the cause (gaming drivers). So, I am hoping to save you time and headache. One other thing I want to mention. I have the Sapphire nitro rx 5700 xt and on the amd radeon app you have to go to the tuning and click Manual than enable fan tuning than disabled the zero rpm and click apply changes to get the fans to run on the graphics card. Other than those to easie fixes the motherboard is good. I have the Kraken x53 and AMD Ryzen 7 3800x 8-core processor. And 970 eco plus ssd card and oloy 16gb and crucial ballistix 16 gb. You have to make sure that if you mix memory card that it that same type it can be different brands. GameMax 850 power supply. And Corsair ¡cue 220T case . So I hope that this helps the next person. Which I got everything off Amazon. So I hope this helps out the next person you is looking for their next build.

Su bios tiene una interfaz muy amigable con el usuario y ayuda mucho a controlar las capacidades de la tarjeta, y ayuda a visualizar mucho las capacidades, no recomiendo actualizar el bios ya que tuve que hacer reset en la bios para solucionar el problema (no reconocia los componentea) sin embargo, una de las ventajas de esaB es que tiene los botones de uefi, con el que se resetea el bios sin necesidad de instalar algo en especial. cabe decir que una memoria M.2 no me la reconocia por lo cual no podia instalar windows directamente en esa ssd. hablando de este tema tiene 2 espacios para ssd tipo M con disipador propio, hasta el momento no he tenido problemas con esta unidad. el chipset no requiere actualizaciones para la 3era gen de AMD asi que solo es colicar el CPU. Los slots de la memoria RAM corren a la velocidad indicada si se modifica en el bios se puede indicar a cuanto corre. Igual comento que cuidado con las RAM, tengo 3 RAM DDR4 Gammix D30 3200mhz de 16gb, la cuarta ram que compre tenia un problema que genero un corto en una motherboard previa, aparentemente esa motherboard (mismo modelo) tenia algun defecto. Cuenta con 3 puertos PCI, el manual orienta muy bien en donde conectar la GPU (en el primero) solamente aqui como tip si recomiendo que tengan un soporte para la GPU y tenga cuidado al retirar alguna conexion ya que tienen un seguro que se debe de presionar. Ahora en cuanto a pines de ventilador estas placas tienen bastantes conectores para refrigeracion, 5 para ventilador y 1 para refrigeracion liquida (mas que la version F) asi como conectores de RGB (aqui depende del tipo de refrigeracion del CPU en donde se conectaran) la placa trasera cuenta con 6 puertos USB, y 2 puertos USB C lo cual puede ser problematico para los que usan el puerto optico pues no tiene, igualmente cuenta con 5 conectores tipo Jack para audio, puerto ethernet, 1 HDMI y un DP, y con antena para wifi, la cual viene incluida. En cuanto al software se emplea el armoury crate para el control e incluso creacion de patrones led aunque si es algo complicado de emplear y con la tarjeta de audio que otorga cancelacion de sonido siendo de buena calidad, se añade a esto bluetooth que en las otras versiones de esta gama no tiene. realmente considero esta MB una muy buena opcion de compra, considerando que puede ser una MB de media a alta gama sin llegar a ser una x570.
