Still going strong after a year. Excellent for beginners!

Still going strong after a year. Excellent for beginners!
I bought this longboard a year ago as a complete beginner as a middle-aged adult. I'm ~135-140lbs, 5'9" tall and I've had so much fun with this board. Every time I look at it, I smile and remember the amazing new adventures we've been on this past year. Now I can do downhill bombs, but not sliding yet. The board is still holding up great. I only had to loosen the trucks a little bit for more maneuverability after getting over my beginners wobbles (took a few weeks). The big soft orange wheels are terrific for bumpy sidewalks and poorly maintained asphalt/concrete roads with bumps. They go over cracks and pebbles with ease, and create a very comfortable cushy ride. I'm amazed that it's never caught on a pebble yet. The only thing that has ever stopped this board unintentionally was a giant seed pod the size of a flattened banana that somehow got caught in one of the front wheels and threw me off (wear pads and helmet everyone, especially if you're older like me).The wheels are super grippy, so I haven't been able to do any sliding whatsoever with these, but they help me make turns going downhill very confidently. They're SO grippy. I might buy some Orangatang Durian 75mm wheels and slide gloves if there is ever a good sale - those things are expensive compared to this board. The drop deck makes the center of gravity a little lower, making it easier to balance, and easier to push since you don't have to go down as far. I have no problems with the bearings - it rolls so easily and for so long especially if there is smooth pavement. With this longboard, I've gone on 25 mile long-distance cruise rides, and also repeatedly done downhill bombs in a large-but-rough sloped parking lot. I have developed chronic Achilles tendonitis in both legs because I enjoy this board so much and rode it a lot more than is healthy. This board has no tails though, so don't expect to be able to do any tricks with it. Even stepping on the end of the board to get it to pop into my hand is a real chore that requires a lot of effort compared to a board with a board with a tail. Tricks are for kids anyway. This thing is built for speed and comfort, at a good price.
