This family drafting game will force you to make difficult choices like, "triceratops or diplodocus"? Pick a dinosaur meeple from your hand, place it strategically in a zone on your board so it brings you the most points at the end of the game, and pass the remaining dinosaurs in your hand to your neighbor!

Draftosaurus is a quick and light drafting game in which you don't have a hand of cards that you pass around (after selecting one), but a bunch of dino meeples in the palm of your hand.

Draftosaurus

Your goal in Draftosaurus is to have the dino park most likely to attract visitors. To do so, you have to draft dino meeples and place them in pens that have some placement restrictions. Each turn, one of the players roll a die and this adds a constraint to which pens any other player can add their dinosaur.

    Very simple drafting game. Super quick to learn and play. Fun for a few rounds but definitely more of a filler game. I’ll have to reevaluate once I’ve played the snowy side but the game is over pretty quick (8-9 min) and feels like the same thing over and over.It’ll stay in the collection for now but definitely have to space out plays so it doesn’t get stale.Really great for a quick game to play with kids though!

    If you like dinosaurs with drafting and set collection, then this game is for you. I do mostly play heavy-weight euros and I find playing Draftosaurus fun. I first discovered this in BGA (Board Game Arena) and decided to purchase a copy to share the experience with my family. I'm sure even non-gamers can easily dive into this game as the rules are so simple, it plays quickly and it offers a good amount of decision-making.

    A highly recommended game for me.

    Really easy game to pick up and just play. We love a good drafting game and this one is really awesome. Can't wait for the expansions. Mind this box came only with French rules, it was no problem to search the Internet an find them in English.
