I've used a Google phone since the HTC Google T1 but lost my enthusiasm when my Nexus 5 battery proved to be booby trapped, the power connector rigged to prevent replacement.
I wasn't about to spend in excess of $700 bucks for a similar experience.
The phone does everything I expected from my Nexus and because it was originally a Google phone all my data and applications down loaded from the cloud.
All this a a quarter the price of a new Nexus 5 and less than a seventh of the Pixel.
Some of us just want a phone, messaging and the Internet.
The Alcatel's battery isn't replaceable either but this price if it last as long as the Nexus' 5 I'll consider it a small win.
EDIT: This phone is something you just have no better words then saying it's crap. USB port lasted less then a month on the data transfer end of things. Less then 2 months in and now the thing won't even hold a charge. The battery drains faster plugged in being on or off. No exaggeration, takes 16 hours to get to 14% battery life. This is the worst purchase you could possibly make. Contacted seller and they offered to send me a new one if I shipped it back. Sadly, I work in the emergency field and going without a phone even for an hour is not an option. I'm keeping this alive to get me through this holiday season and then its going straight in the recycling at my local store. Steer clear.
I am surprised by the quality of this phone. I knew nothing of this phone before purchasing except the basic description. This phone is beautiful. The screen is super crisp and the speaker is much better then other phones I had. Service is great for me here in Michigan. The only complaints I have is that it comes with a lot of bloatware which is normal these days, and the power button is above the volume keys which seems odd. I also want to note that I have smaller hands which makes I a little difficult to reach the back button. This phone beat all of my expectations. Feels like a 200 dollar phone in my hands.
I was thoroughly please with this phone, as it was far better that what I was expecting. My intent was to use it as an interim phone until I find the one I want. It turns out that this inexpensive phone IS the one I want and need. It also helps that it arrived in a very timely fashion. I would certainly recommend and buy from thus seller in the future. Truly a five star transaction.

I bought this phone a while back when my Note 5 busted. So, I just needed a simple phone to use. I ended up going to the phone store paying over $120 for something that was barely $60 online. That should have been red flags at first but this is instead what experience I got.
The specs are fairly simple for a cheaper phone such as this one.
16GB of expandable storage 2GB of RAM memory Android 6.0 8.0MP Main Camera/ Secondary 5.0MP 4G LTE enabled Scratch-resistant glass (Dragontrail), Light sensor, Proximity sensor 5.5 in size 720 x 1280 pixel resolution Micro SD (up to 256GB)
Those aren't bad specs for what you see at first glance for a basic 2016 phone. Though, I have to say a few things about this model.
It feels very great in your hands and it's not too big for you to be able to hold it with one hand. Though, the feel is off putting. Swiping your hand across the large and luxurious screen, you will be a bit off putted by a cheaply made plastic back.
Though, despite this the buttons are very easy to reach, though it does have a multitouch even if you don't want to use the button. All you have to do is double tap the screen which is a great feature, especially for me used to my volume button on the top instead of one of the second buttons on the side
Though, if you have a pin, it doesn't unlock the phone.
As for phone itself, we have officially went on and beyond towards Android Pie. Though, doesn't mean Marshmallow didn't at least pack a punch in a creative way.
I do love that the screen is beautiful. It's very thick and sturdy which fits well with its size. I haven't had a case in months and every time I dropped it, it barely sustained any scratches.
The camera also is very clear and has great focus, but doesn't do well in low light.
Though, I do love that it is very customizable with changing beautiful lockscreens and wallpapers that were preinstalled in the phone.
But, even though it has 2GB ram, it can lag pretty bad to the point you have to close most apps in the background.
I mean, I have experienced black screen, random shutting on and off. It won't touch while charging, along with overheating, and closing of apps randomly, screen won't come on, etc. Not to mention, it won't even unlock correctly.
So, I mean it was okay for the meantime, but I am currently happy I upgraded to my Samsung S8+ and I would purchase Alcatel again, just not this one or any Metro PCS phone.
the worst product i ever purchased does not hold a charge when some one calls it becomes pitch black and you cant answer the phone do not buy this please you will waist your time
