We needed an elevated bed for camping with our Aussie (~60#). The bed we received is great! It was easy to put together, materials seem sturdy, will let lots of air-flow underneath to keep her cool, and she has plenty of room. The canopy is a whole other story: it's crap. The poles did not want to stay together. When we did manage to assemble the poles they fell apart instantly while trying to put them into the canopy. When we finally got them together, threaded into the canopy and posted into the bed frame.... they ripped in two places when the hooks were attached. In the attempt to hook the canopy to the frame I noticed what looked like burn holes in the fabric. Weird. It's such a shame - a canopy would have been nice. As it is we will keep the bed and pitch the canopy and poles.

Assembling was a bit tough when it came to stretching the canvas but once I got past that, it was a breeze to put together. It did leave tiny fibers on my hands after handling the canvas but overall the product itself is really sturdy and pleasing to the eye. My dogs love it and I recommend it for your pet too.

If you plan on cursing everyone you know, then this is the cot for you! It is such a pain to assemble, the awning is the worst part. Falls apart, the poles rip right through the fabric, might as well throw the awning in the trash. The velcro barely fits around the frame poles, so when my 40lb dog lays down the velcro comes undone anyway. Total pain in the a$$ and I would not recommend even my worst enemy to sit through and endure assembling this piece of crap.

My dog loved this over the summer. There are only some things to consider: 1) The directions are not super clear, though I did work it out after a while. 2) The top that faces the sun is covered in fiberglass. I don't know if this is part of the sunscreen element or mine was defective in this way, but I can't touch the top at all - it's all invisibly sharp. So I just pick it up from the bottom or from the open loops at the top.

It's only the part that faces the sun, though, where the dog is is perfectly fine and she did really enjoy it.

The bed was simple to assemble and was bigger than I anticipated. The bed holds up and looks as portrayed. However the canopy....is a whole other matter. It has the most annoying tiny poles to slid in with joint pieces that don't stay together as you are sliding them in the slots (not sure why they couldn't make them like the foldable tent poles). The canopy center stitches were already pulling apart. I didn't have the canopy a month when it all just shredded (I didn't even have it out in the sunlight). The stretchy clasps of the canopy ripped clean off and the fabric frayed/shredded. So the canopy is now trash, but the bed still works.

A tad difficult to assemble for those of us that are not analytical. After some thinking and a few adult beverages, I was able to assemble it. 5 minutes after placing it outside, my dog was sprawled out on the bed. I’m guessing this was definitely a good purchase. I’d suggest that the manufacturer acquire rods for the canopy that are like camping tents and have the rope inside as they are easier to use than these connected rods. But, still a good product!
