I had a Walmart spray gun for years and it did a great job on small items, never did a car with it because i knew it's a basic spray gun so i found this one!
I stained fences, painted cars and trucks with this gun and it sprays great but you do need to have the right compressor for it. First i used a 20gal husky air comp and it got me a sandy paint job.
Then i bought a 40gal high flow air comp and it got me a smooth and wet paint job.
Not having the air cap measuring gauge is tough to dial it in, not all regulators are the same and it's all about the spray test and hissing noise. Watch few uTube videos on how to do a basic setup of this gun or any HVLP gun and you'll figure it out. If you don't then you don't; Not everyone is cut out to be a painter..

Body shops wanted $300 to repaint the front bumper and side skirt I needed to replace, but instead I bought this for $217 here on amazon and then with paint and supplies, still came in under that mark.
“Teach a man to fish...”
I did a lot of research for an easy to use, beginner friendly paint gun that wouldn’t break the bank. These reviews here plus The Gunman reviews on YouTube led me to this gun.
And boy I could not be happier. My first gun sprayed horrible and the clear was pretty bad.
I did, in my newness to this skill, mess up by not noticing I was spraying base with the 1.3mm tip, so the base coat did not match factory base pattern, but it is hardly if at all noticeable. Next time I’ll be sure to use the 1.5mm for base
I was painting outdoors at about 62-64 degrees F and so it was a bit on the chilly side for paint. Using medium activator for my Euro clear, it laid down wet but had a horrible orange peel effect to it. I reduced PSI to about 12-15 and laid another layer that went better, but still showed orange peel.
I think I was spraying too far away and going too fast. The great news is that because it was so cold and because I was using medium and not fast activator, the clear laid out and became super smooth.
All in all, I love this gun and how it sprays and how forgiving it is to a beginner like me.

First of all, I highly recommend cleaning this gun before initial use. It really needs a strong cleaning (mine did). Second, I recommend you dialing the air inlet pressure back some and adjusting the fan settings accordingly as this was the biggest eye opener for me. I was surprised at how different the settings were as compares to the Tekna Pro, the Gti, and other manufacturers that I tested. Again, I say this because I had someone tell me they did not like this gun after 2 uses without spending the time to learn the settings and "dial" it in.
That said, I agree with many others that have posted, this gun can lay some nice paint and even clear coat. If you are on a budget and need a quality gun that will give you options with the tips I would say this is a great gun to consider. I also had similar feelings about the Gti as well (It is more money but the quality is higher too).
Last piece of advice is IF you are not getting optimal results initially be patient and make some adjustments to see what differences are made. Make notes of the settings that yield the best results and I am sure you will enjoy this gun!
