At eighteen, Emily has a life some could only dream of. Her father owns a billion-pound law firm, and her older, incredibly handsome boyfriend is employed in the same business. She has prospects for the future and friends she adores. To the outside world, she is living the dream; only there's one problem: she's not happy. 

Excited to escape her life for university at the end of summer, Emily's plans hit an unforeseen obstacle when she is caught up in events which she learns are not at all random. Her father has been keeping secrets from her. Secrets that involve her deceased mother. Left in the dark with questions running amok in her mind, for her safety Emily is sent to live with her aunt in a small town in Cornwall. 

It's there she meets Jackson - a twenty-two-year-old, shaggy-haired lifeguard. Burdened by his own dark history, Emily is drawn in by his mystery and piercing green eyes. 

In a short space of time, her world is turned upside down as she finds herself hiding from a threat and a past she never knew existed, all whilst trying to unravel another enigma - who is Jackson Turner? And just what is he hiding behind those enchanting eyes?
