I really like reading books on the larger screen... it feels like I am reading a book. I have used the native ebook reader and my Amazon books with the Kindle reader. Both work flawlessly and the page turns are fairly quick.
I have taken some handwritten notes using the native note app. I have written notes using pen and notebook, and I like the note taking on the Note Air better. I was able to erase some notes where I wanted, which is great. Not really any delays in writing on the Tablet. I don't plan on converting my notes to text, although there does seem to be some placement issues when it does convert. I did see in a video that I can search my handwritten text for words... apparently Note converts the notes to text to do the search. Thought that was pretty nice. Will probably come in handy once I have more notes.
I have handwritten some notes into OneNote using the Note Air app, including a paragraph. The refresh issue seems to have been fixed.. the refresh took place after I stopped writing my paragraph. I wasn't able to convert my notes to text in the Note Air OneNote app, but I was able to go into OneNote on Windows and convert my notes to text. My quick test paragraph converted pretty well.
I have been able to sync files with the BooxDrop, Google Drive, and Dropbox. I installed some other apps, like Fitbit, Goodreads, and other from the Google Play Store. For the most part, they work, but the display shades some of the buttons too dark or too light, which requires some fiddling. The NeoBrowser seems to work fine.
Overall, pretty happy with the device.
Ended up return it, but if you are comfortable to the pen dangling, or willing to bring the pen separately, it’s a great eink tablet for you-even better than remarkable 2 in sense of versatility

500 dollars gets you:
A slow, by ANY standard, e ink screen
A UI that, even for android, should be embarrassing to the developers. If they’re not fired, they should be. I would rather end my career than release something this subpar.
Flimsy build quality, an even cheaper feeling “stylus” and finally
An overall feeling of disappointment.
Photos show frustration with:
Onyx account - won’t send SMS, don’t bother trying to sync it with an online account. Not happening.
Network connection- won’t hold this at all. Good luck staying logged in once you actually do achieve this goal.
Everything Microsoft is less than useless. OneNote? Garbage.
Outlook? Doesn’t even load
Word? Doesn’t recognize Microsoft accounts
Trello? Nope. Doesn’t recognize accounts that have been established for years.
My company made the mistake of allowing one of us to try these before purchasing a few dozen. That was still a mistake because of my wasted time. Thank god for that.
If you’re actually someone who wants to work on this. Don’t buy this. Please. You will regret it.
