This filter is available in a variety of sizes from 58mm-82mm. The ND1000 is made with premium Japan Optics glass and an aluminum alloy frame. It’s slim, lightweight and the extra tough frame ensures long-term durability and prevents jamming. The filter features a top level of transmittance and does not have color cast. The 18-layer multi-resistant coating reduces lens flare and ghosting while also making the filter scratch resistant, water repellant, and oil and dust resistant. The multi-coating process also makes it possible for users to achieve super slow shutter speeds in daylight to render moving objects invisible. Because it’s an ND1000 filter, you have the option to reduce the amount of light in a photo by 10 and effectively reduce light reflections while improving the overall image quality.
The filter arrived in a very secure, hard plastic case. It was easy to open, but keeps the filter safe from environmental factors when it’s not in use. It stores easily alongside my camera in my camera backpack. The general purpose of this type of filter is to provide users with a strong neutral density (ND) filter which reduces the amount of light hitting the camera’s sensor by about 1000 times. The ND1000 is an extreme version of the neutral density filter as many of them are typically only 3-stops in strength.
I wanted this filter specifically for outdoor, long-exposure photography. I thought this filter would help me to have a wider variety of shots when using the same photography equipment that I normally do. My favorite all-purpose lens is the Canon EF 24-105mm. This is a 77mm lens and so I selected the 77mm size filter from K&F Concept. The filter fits perfectly on the 24-105mm lens I mentioned before. I didn’t have any issues with it fitting or screwing into place. This has been an issue for me in the past with some other filters.
I tested the filter in a few different ways. First, I held the filter up to the lens without screwing it onto the lens. This showed the difference between the image with the filter and the image with the filter. With this type of test, you can clearly see a correctly exposed image and one that is darkened quite a bit with showing only the ‘hot’ spots of light in the photo. After taking a few shots with the filter installed on my camera, I noticed that there were no edge vignetting issues at all. The glass seems to be of high quality since I didn’t notice any ghosting issues either.
The ND1000 Filter from K&F Concept is a very nice option for a budget-friendly, high-quality piece of glass. It’s been very useful for me and a great addition to my camera kit. If you are looking for an ND1000 filter, I can recommend this one from K&F Concept as opposed to one from another manufacturer that might cost an arm and a leg.

.
Yet again this 52mm filter comes in a huge plastic case. Clearly, a common case is used by K&F for all filter sizes, but these are too bulky to carry in your camera bag for just that small filter, especially if you have several. I’m going to have to find more appropriately sized cases.
.
The filter itself is manufactured to a very high-quality standard. It threaded on first time, and smoothly, to the K&F UV filter, which I use purely as protection for the camera lens. The filter also screws off easily with no sticking.
.
I did see a distinct warm bias in my testing on an overcast, dull day. It is noticeable in a side-by-side comparison photo (see attached), but slight enough that it can compensated for in photo post-processing, though more problematic with video. You might be able to adjust the white balance to compensate, but I’ve not tried that. Interestingly, the ND2-32 filter gave a yellow bias.
There was no uneven gradation but some slight vignetting on my FZ300 at the widest, 25mm focal length. My sensor must be offset as the dark corners are only in the left corners. The vignette effect was smaller than with the ND2-32 filter. It is thinner, being a fixed ND.
The clarity of the image was not affected by adding the ND filter.
.
The landscape photo was initially without the ND filter, just my UV and camera-metered exposure (f4, ISO 100, 1/160s). Then, I added the ND1000 filter and retook the shot at f4, ISO 100, 6s, based on my exposure app’s calculation, assuming 10 stops of light reduction. The resultant image was close enough in exposure to confirm the ND filter is actually reducing 10 stops of light. 😊 For a waterfall, I’d be looking for at least a 2 or 3 second exposure time. Under the same lighting conditions, the ND32 filter only dropped the shutter to 1/20th seconds at f4, ISO 100. f4 and ISO 100 is the sweet spot for my camera.
.
NOTE: You can stack another filter in front of this ND filter, unlike the ND2-32, which has no front thread.
.
CONCLUSION:
.
If you are looking at buying a neutral density filter, the ND1000 should be the first one you buy. The 10-stop filtration gave me the slower shutter speed I was looking for. A 5-stop filter isn’t going to give you the effect you need for water in good sunlight. I'd suggest an ND2-400 if you still want the variability in density. This ND1000 will be a useful addition to my camera accessories.
.
At just $26, I can certainly recommend this ND filter!

At just $26, I can certainly recommend this ND filter!
Initially, I had some trouble with the exposure. In a setting where aperture priority gave me 1/100s (w/o filter), I expected to get 10s shutter speed with the ND1000. However, the camera came up with ~1/5s - and the photo was almost black. It took me a while to figure out that the metering was affected by light coming in from the viewfinder. Once I covered that, the images were well-exposed (and I got the 10s, as expected).
I hope this saves others some time and worries (one hour in my case, plus the fear of having wasted $28 and not being able to understand my camera...)
Shot this photo at f/5.6 @ 500th of a second with an ISO of 100. Very happy with the results.

Overall its a good ND filter, I guess the best among all the ones available in India.
THE GOOD:
- no noticeable loss of detail
- solid build and good filter threads
- no vignetting on 24mm equivalent lens
- handles direct light well without ghosting
- 10 stop rating is very accurate!
THE BAD:
- like many ND1000 filters, both cheap and expensive, it has a color cast. This one has a red-magenta color cast that is mostly fixable in post-processing (see photos, taken with Fujifilm X-T20 and 16-50mm f3.5-5.6 kit lens with controlled settings).
- the plastic case it came in probably isn't great for transporting the filter around as the lid can come off easily, but who would use it for that anyway?
