They Run Together After a While

The storyline is almost aways the same, just like this series. These things are variations of the same formula; Super smart or super brave, or super capable or super something guy or gal gets in a predicament or is called upon by his or her government, or super secret agency or faltering boozed-up buddy, or whatever, to find or fix or save something or other. It seems like writers in this genre want to be the next Tom Clancy. Well boys and girls, a little dose of reality - they aren't. I am not saying brother Watts here is a bad read. He is average. I am saying the problem is that the genre is stale.

Add to that, usually the voice actor has trouble with pronuciation or something that doing a little bit more homework would have fixed. They are universally good voice technicians. Most are very talented people. Certainly they are better than I would be. But sometimes they sound like they are winging it.

Terribly Naive

I listened/read this story until the meeting of the rebellious characters, who were in prison, were still plotting in Red China. How implausible is this with no listening devices in the walls, nor cameras recording every motion of these characters, after they've already been suspected? How unbelievable and how unreadable. For those that continued to read this story and failed to see how unreal this story is, with no consideration of how the CCP is one paranoid society with cams and hidden mics everywhere, well, impossible that these characters would be allowed to continue without eavesdropping and close monitoring. Wish I could get my credit back!

Very exciting story. Can’t wait to start the next one!

Looking forward to the next chapter to see what happens. Loving the platform. Works great with a 30 mile drive to work each day. I don’t listen to music anymore.

Very entertaining

For what its worth I really enjoyed listening to the story. The narrator did a top notch job. I am definitely reading the next book. I don't know how accurate the strategies, tactics, and technology is but it's a good story to pass the time away.

To many small useless facts. They are unnecessary. Military people will go to sleep.
