How did we get our start?
We get our moniker from Powell Crosley, who lived a century ago and possessed a clear vision of the future. In the 1920s he knew music was for the people and created a radio for everyone. In keeping with his tradition and spirit we decided the vinyl experience was also for everyone. Our first turntable was released in 1992 when CDs were still king. Naturally, everyone thought we were nuts. But now, after 30+ years of bringing stylish music to the people, we manufacture the turntables, radios, and accessories that help everyone discover their own music.
What makes our products unique?
We're listening to music, to the world, and we're listening to you. Whatever your budget or tastes in music, there's a Crosley for you.

It took two passes -- the first one arrived damaged, but was a quick and painless replacement so I can't knock points for that -- but this is great. We used our old Bose speakers in stead of the speakers included, but this unit works great and bypasses the amp entirely. It is surprisingly loud (again, using 20 year old 60 watt Bose speakers) -- it fills the house with sound at only 40% or 50% of potential volume. I don't plan to ever turn it all the way up to see what happens... I like my ears.
For the price, this was an exceptional product. I'm sure a devoted audiophile might have criticism about the nuanced tone and mechanics, but this absolutely fits the bill for casual listening of old LPs you might have about the house.
The only complaint is that it skips a little easily as children run past the cabinet, but this might be more a factor of the construction of our house in the new spot we put the cabinet and less about the player. We're getting some inexpensive stabilizers and expect that will address the problem.

To make a long story short, they no longer use the audio technica needle and went in-house, which is terrible quality. You have to constantly work with the tone arm to get it level properly, it will scrape across your records(don’t play anything valuable). Speakers are absolutely horrendous and the actual turntable belt system doesn’t stay on properly, leading to your records changing pitch throughout the listen.
