This is typically one of my favorite products... it is perfect refreshing dry curls. Back in the day, before I knew what I was doing with my curly hair, I just used water to try and re-curl multiple day old hair. Now I use this and it works great! I like that it has some body to it and I can use it to apply to individual curls to recurl them. My issue is that the last time I bought the two pack from this seller, something was way off!! Normally, the product is clear and looks like water. The product I received was yellow in color and the entire plastic container was stained yellow. The packaging reads that color may vary slightly and I normally wouldn't have mind but it was this combined with the smell...normally everything from this line smells amazing! This bottle had a very chemically, off smell to it. Something was definitely up with it. I am buying more and throwing that bottle away. I will be very disappointed and contacting the seller if this happens again. The photo shows a normal bottle and the yellowed one.

I'm loving these products that I've recently found - and love that they are also kind to animals. I have long red hair that is mostly frizzy - only with a lot of effort will it go into ringlets that hold for a couple of days after the wash. I like my hair shorter - but it's just too hard to control; at least when I keep it long I can tie it up on bad days. I've been on a life long search for a great hair care product.

I've used the Shea Moisture combo of this Shampoo, the Restorative Conditioner (I do the 3-15 mins after the shampoo, then add a small amount to leave in after my cold water rinse), and then I divide my hair into about 10 segments and apply the Cocoanut and Hibiscus Mousse (I only need 2 pumps to each segment, and twirl my segments around my finger) - wrap in a hair dry towel for half an hour and don't touch it!

It's hanging in even the next day, and isn't wild and crazy even on the third day. Thank you Shea Moisture! I'm now thinking I could get my hair cut. Woo Hoo!

What I like best about this product is the cruelty-free stance of the company, the ingredients used, and the fact that this is a pump and not an aerosol can. It is HARD to find mousse that is not in a pressurized can, which is bad for the environment and cannot be recycled in my area. I will say this product does not stand up to other mousse when it comes to holding your style. I have naturally curly hair with a medium texture. This mousse (when used in conjunction with the SheaMoisture smoothie cream) keeps the texture of your curls soft, but it does not hold off frizz or keep the curl as tight as I'd like. For me, the environmental implications are still more important than what my hair looks like. Just using coconut oil is great in theory, but not in practice, so I needed something a little more substantial, and the SheaMoisture products are a good fit.

I read reviews on hair products because I'm incredibly picky about what I use on my curls. So I feel I need to pay it forward. This stuff is FABULOUS! I'm 2C/3A & I've been natural no poo for about a year now and the one thing I just couldn't find was a way to get the bounce back! I use SheaMoisture Jamaican Black Castor Oil Reparative Leave-In Conditioner then Shea Moisture Curling Gel Souffle when I get out of the shower. But no pep in the step and sometimes when I let it air dry (which is 90%) the curls get 'clumpy'/thicker - not the best look. But most other "defining" stuff left my hair too heavy and waxy feeling so I just stopped using anything else. NOW - add a little of this mouse and BAM. Back to everything I love about my curls!!!! It's LIGHT and SO SOFT. Definition and bounce back. I've only used it once and need to experiment with amount but VERY pleased. Will keep buying.

I love this product! I was skeptical because I've used other types of mousse and they have never worked for me. Most of them have dried my hair something terrible. I have Type 3B tight, fine curly-kinky hair.

I have chemical fragrance allergies and have had a really hard time finding products for curly hair that are fragrance free or use natural fragrances. In the case of this product, the fragrance is natural and very pleasant.

My biggest problem in the morning is losing curl definition while I was sleeping. My new routine is to dampen my hair with some DevaCurl Mist-er Right Lavender Curl Revitalizer and I stick the Shea Moisture Coconut & Hibiscus Frizz-Free Mousse in my hair. And then I'm done! The hold and shine are really incredible and my hair is definitely frizz-free. Even better, it doesn't feel weighed down from product and feels really soft!

I don't always write reviews, but I had to for this purchase! I have 2c/3a low porosity curls, and sometimes Shea Moisture's products are a little heavy for those with low porosity or wavy hair. But this mousse blew me away!!! It is light and foamy, and does not weigh down my curls one bit! I absolutely LOVE using this product for refreshes on Day 3 or 4 just because it gives amazing hold without any of the stickiness. It also contains protein, which is wonderful if my hair feels mushy or soft, indicating it's time for a protein boost. This mousse if a must-have in any curly girl's closet of hair products!

Oh my gosh, where to start? My hair is super thick and becomes oily if you look at it the wrong way. It's also wavy (not curly) and super frizzy like I am Einstein's dark haired daughter.

Most of the anti-frizz products weigh my hair down and make it look dirty. This is the only product that keeps my hair soft, shiny, and completely frizz-free. There is no product residue and you never feel that you need to wash it off because it's melting into your hair.

There is also no noticeable scent to it so it's perfect!
Will definitely buy again!
