This is the BEST tempered glass protector. Yes it's better than Whitestone. Remember, just because you're the first to do something doesn't mean you're the best at it.
The installation for this screen protector is not for the faint of heart. Just being honest. I see many people have terrible reviews & most of them come from the installation process. & despite what they say, it's user error. They messed up somewhere in the process. I've NEVER had an issue because I'm very tedious. Steady hands, attention to detail, they're all important. Set time aside for the install. Know all the steps BEFORE attempting. Do a few dry runs to make sure. It helps. You're trying to protect a 1300 phone, it's worth it.
Don't force anything... As in don't force your phone into the installation tray, it may break of you're not gentle.
LEVEL WORK SURFACE. Use the bubble level they give. Its monumental that its level or you will have issues.
Make sure your liquid is in the MIDDLE of the screen when you pour it. If it's not, you will not get an even spread. Once you pour all the liquid out, give the top a couple taps to get all the adhesive out. It's better to have more than what's needed than less.
Put the weight on the fingerprint area AFTER adhesive has spread past it. That weight also helps to finish the spread of the lower half of the screen. Yes the company thought of that in the design process. Use the weight...especially if you want your fingerprint to work.
If you follow all the instructions verbatim... Take your time, do not rush through steps, you will NOT have any issues. I've used amfilm with my Note 10 Plus, & I knew I had to get it with my 20ultra. Once I installed, I rescanned all my fingers. 100% responsiveness. It will work if you follow the instructions.
Btw... If the area you're working in is dirty, or dusty, etc... Get some compressed air. After you clean the screen, small particles may land on your screen before you actually apply the screen. Use it as you go. Don't rush... But limit the amount of time between you pouring the adhesive on the screen, & you putting the glass screen in the tray. In that window, there's no cleaning you can do without risking touching the adhesive, or shifting it out of the middle of your screen.
They did forget to add the part in the video where it shows using the dust removal sticker, but I mean there is a sticker that says on it "dust removal sticker" in the package, so I put two and two together.
It is super clear and the finger print reader works very well compared to some of the others I have tried, the weight placed on the fingerprint reader during the installation is a nice touch to guarantee it works. One the previous ones I have used you had to turn up touch sensitivity to make it work with the fingerprint reader, this one I had to turn it off to make it work. I did add two finger prints to ensure easy recognition.
I would recommend this to everyone but, would do it for my mother. Make sure you understand the installation.
Welp, DO NOT buy this.
I spent a stupid long time (which I'm not going to admit the specific length of) to make sure the process was perfect.
First, just buy compressed air. The dust stickers are just a pain.
> The guide frame has cheap cardboard sides (to control the glue) that get dust onto the screen.
> The cardboard sides were bowing out and when I removed the orange tab the screen stayed suspended in midair because I didn't realize the cardboard was in the way.
> The glue does not spread correctly. BOTH times... the first time it did not make it to the corner and was obvious and clearly visible with the screen on and off. Because the glue didn't make it there the UV didn't crystallize anything so it was susceptible to peeling right away. It lasted MAYBE 2 days (1.5 days) before I had to peel it off. I figured I'd use the second screen and "do it right this time". The second application was LESS successful than the first. If anything the bubble level was even MORE centered and the glue made it to even LESS of the screen than the first time.
> The tab that is supposed to protect the speaker from the glue is scary.... as in scary inadequate looking. It's tiny and doesn't stick and can't help but wonder if it'll actually block anything or if the glue will just seep underneath it. You can't even tell if it's contacting the phone or not.
> Second application the glue got pretty messy which I'll admit was a bit my fault because I was trying to get it to the areas it wasn't reaching. Before anyone points out that the instructions say it may take up to 3 minutes I was closer to minute 5. For a second I thought I UV-cemented the plastic guide to my phone! (*Annoyed grunt!*)
I was trying SO hard to find a good glass protector for my phone, especially because I wanted the extra shock protection. IDK why but apparently they just don't make them anymore and everything is that cheap TPU stuff. Well, I'm going to go order one of those cheap TPU protectors now. At least applying it will take just a few minutes and you won't have to risk getting gluing your phone to death.
Last but not least, shipping was late. I pay for Prime, which if not 2-day shipping at least includes accurate delivery estimates / arrivals. Where's my rebate for slow shipping? Sure mistakes happen, but when was the last time a company or restaurant gave YOU a service / product for a free or reduced rate because YOU had a mistake, such as "card declined"?!? NEVER! You pick a different card and hope that one works or leave with nothing. I pay for Prime specifically for fast and / or accurate shipping and did not get the service I paid for.
* Low-key Simpsons reference.

Recomiendo verificar que el líquido cubra bien todos los bordes del teléfono, como ven en la imagen no alcance a cubrir el borde super derecho pero se pudo haber evitado.
El precio un poco elevado pero justo, 100% recomendado.

Overall, I'm very impressed and would highly recommend this product... provided you follow the instructions and don't rush! It's not the cheapest, but amFilm includes an application tray, compared to cheaper products that don't - I wouldn't like to attempt installing this style of screen protector without it.
I watched the installation video a few times, as well as multiple YouTubers, which made installation straightforward - there were no glue leaks and no need for electrical tape over buttons or ports, etc. (I actually started with tape over all sides of the phone, but they just prevented the phone from sitting correctly in the application tray - probably the reason for glue leakage on some YouTubers' videos).
My top tips:
1. Find a level surface and use the supplied bubble level to make sure the phone is level before applying the glue so that the glue doesn't "run away".
2. After applying the glue, if there are any small drips of glue on the screen, mop them up with the main blob of glue by carefully moving the phone around, to avoid bubbles. Moving the main blob around will also remove any tiny air bubbles in the glue caused during release of the glue, and will avoid those bubbles being trapped under the screen protector.
3. Make sure the glue blob is sitting fairly accurately in the middle of the phone screen to prevent the glue from seeping out at the ends of the screen protector, especially into the speaker port at the top of the phone.
4. When lowering the glass screen protector, pull the pin out slowly until the screen protector touches the adhesive before pulling the pin out quickly. This is to avoid the screen protector slapping down onto the glue and causing bubbles if you just yanked the pin out.
5. Don't put the metal cylinder on until the glue has dispersed past the fingerprint sensor, to make sure that the glue has completely covered the sensor.
6. Don't rush! The glue will not start to cure until UV light is applied. Wait until the glue has completely dispersed to the edges of the screen protector, and especially the corners. If the screen protector isn't sitting perfectly central, you can carefully use a thin card or similar to move the screen protector gently sideways without pushing it down.
7. After curing the glue and taking the phone out of the application tray, I did an extra application of UV light to make double-sure the glue was fully cured.
The finished product is the best I've seen on a curved screen, and retains the beautiful look and feel of glass. This screen protector provides great screen coverage, without interfering with my Incipio DualPro phone case.
This screen protector was a direct replacement for a popular film screen protector, so the fingerprint sensor worked perfectly after installation, without needing re-calibration.
The glass screen protector has quite a few tiny bumps on its underside to keep the screen protector at a uniform distance from the phone screen and allow the glue to fully disperse during installation. These can be seen (barely) after installation if you look at the screen at the right angle with the phone off, but I don't notice them at all when the screen is on.
I will definitely be using this product on future devices!
Update 12 months later:
Well, after a year of copping a beating, it was time to replace my amFilm screen protector, so I blew the dust of this kit and installed the second screen protector that came with it.
With a bit of care, the old one came off cleanly and in one piece, despite being cracked through in several places. The new one went on flawlessly just like last time (I followed my own tips above!). There was a little more glue leakage than I remember having last time, however, using the sticker provided in the kit protected the speaker port at the top of the phone, and it was easy enough to clean off the rest of the glue with a tissue and rubbing alcohol once the installation was complete.
My opinion hasn't changed - this is still the best solution out there for protecting a curved screen.
Update 2 years later:
Between children and dogs, I have now purchased my third set of amFilm screen protectors for my Galaxy Note 20 Ultra. The weak point of these protectors is the edge - even a small hit on the thin edge of the protector can cause the protector to crack. Apart from that, I still highly recommend this screen protector. I particularly enjoy the oleophobic qualities of the protector helping it to stay clean for longer, and the look and feel of glass rather than a plastic film.
