Here are two of the same bulbs. One is fake the other I bought from Home Depot. The fake can't match the color of the real one from Home Depot even though they are both connected to the same fixture and set exactly the same in the Wiz app. Don't buy the fake here. Go to Home Depot and get the real one.

And received… pre-Philips WiZ bulbs.

These are slightly less efficient, and they wouldn’t connect via smart pairing. They also take some time to get fully sorted out bc they need their firmware updated.

They are fine once the dust settles, though.

It’s hilarious how Amazon decided to sell the old stocks, though.

TL;DR:
These are defunct bulbs from before WiZ was purchased by Philips/Signify that no longer work because the current WiZ app does not support them and are ultimately unusable because they won't be able to connect to your WiFi.

So the WiZ Connected company was purchased by Signify, a spin off company from Philips lighting division. These bulbs were produced from before the WiZ company was purchased. You'll notice that there's no Philips branding on them. In the documentation packaged with them there are also broken links to phone apps used to set them up.

The bulbs also report a different device name (as seen on your network) as ESP_XXXXXX where the X's referring to the MAC address of the device. On legitimate Philips WiZ bulbs this should report as wiz_XXXXXX. They likely have different hardware as well as you can compare their specs (lighting facts) to legitimate Philips WiZ bulbs where there are differences in the Wattage, warm-cool kelvin "light appearance", etc.

These bulbs must be old leftover inventory from this seller who is trying to get rid of them since they're unusable, hence the drastically reduced price from the real product.

This product should be removed from Amazon as it's fraudulent for them to sell a defunct product which isn't compatible with the current Philips WiZ ecosystem and ultimately prevents you from setting them up and ever using them.
