These are great for do it yourself A/V speaker setups.  Best I've used, doesn't cut into the copper, strips the wire and has an adjustable length guide.  Great price, buy it!

I use this for 18-24 wires. This strips wires quickly and easily. I haven't seen any broken strands. Tool feels solids and feels great to use.

Great improvement over standard wire strippers

Wow! I can't believe how long I went without this tool! I had tried one by a different company that  friend had bought and it was junk. I read reviews about the Irwin being better even though looking the exact same and decided to try it out as I was installing a backup camera in a car and needed to tap into wires that were tightly packed with 20 or so other wires in the same harnesses. It worked flawlessly and has worked as amazingly on every job I've used it on since! From tiny speaker wire to wiring new heaters throughout the house, this handy tool has saved me hours in the short time I've had it!

great tool

I bought this tool a few months ago.  It worked great on indoor #12 Romex wire, always a clean cut.  I attempted to use tool on some #12 outdoor (gray wire) and it broke.

Nice for cutting anything less than #12 wire

I bought this a couple of months ago, and it's one of my favorite tools. The only problem is that the yellow plastic depth gauge broke after only a few uses. I looked on the website hoping I could find the replacement part, but I am not finding it. I will gladly change my review to five stars if I can be directed to where I can find a replacement yellow plastic depth gauge.

Great Tool, But Plastic Depth Gauge Broke Quickly

My job was small - I installed 4 light fixtures and 6 outlets. The jaws broke very easily and I had to strip wire by hand to finish.

I have used this about 7 to 10 times... Worked great, after that it works sometimes...Does not do. what it claims to do.  I only used it on 12 - 14 gauge nm sheath cable.....very poor performance from a great company.

These “supposed” wire strippers are a total joke. I can't believe Irwin would put their stamp of approval on them. I am so disappointed in these. I bought two of them and they both do the exact same thing…NOTHING!  Geez I have a cheap pair from HF and they actually strip some of the sheath off of the Romex wiring.
