The author obliged and this book was born. And while it’s shorter in length than the others, and not as big in scope, it was a very satisfying glimpse into the new life and good versus evil battles of heroine Emma and her new husband, Kade.

Emma is still growing stronger as an angel daily. By her side is Kade, as both her protector and husband. The two of them together are formidable. A new threat looms in the form of Lucien’s nephilium daughter LIlith, who emerges after his death. Previously unknown to everyone, Lilith is now out for revenge and it all centers on Emma. Why? Because Lucifer lied to her and told her that Emma killed Lucien, when that couldn’t be further than the truth. Emma begins having nightmares, ones that feature her loved ones being killed by Lilith in horrible ways. And Lilith has started stalking Emma and Kade wherever they go. Emma knows she must get her best friends back to Alaska from L.A. so that she can protect them. So Jeremy and Lia come to Alaska, but even that adventure is fraught with danger. War is coming to Alaska and Emma and Kade are right in the middle of it all.

Most of the characters from the previous installments are back again. It’s always nice to reconnect with characters that you have grown to love. Besides Emma and Kade, Alaine and Samuel are back as Emma’s biological parents. But it was Dom, the humorously protective angel that I enjoyed the most of the peripheral characters. He’s powerfully built and handsome and totally knows it. He was the comic relief in most, if not all of these books. But he is also a fearsome warrior and loyal to the max.

This may have been the last of the books in this series, but there was one small thing I noticed that could account for another book to be born or spun off from this series. It involves the question of whether or not a human can be made immortal even if they are not born to it, something that Jeremy asks and Alaine answers, but way too abruptly. I would love to see a book where that happens! And if it were to happen to Jeremy, even better!

These books have always been young adult. Now that Emma and Kaden are married, that kind of falls by the wayside when the two are alone. It’s pretty lustful and you know what is happening, but nothing really explicit. There’s also quite a bit of violence since they are pretty much at war throughout this book, and that is definitely pretty explicit. For those reasons, I would recommend this book to ages 16+. Highly recommend this whole series!

So overall i did rather enjoy the story however i feel as if she should have left it at the last book. While i enjoyed most of the book after i was done reading some of it felt slightly rushed.... especially the ending battle scene i personally wanted it to last longer but bringing in a new threat that you have only seen in the one book and hasn't had the chance to build much i wasn't sure what to expect with the final battle - but what we got wasn't what i expected to happen. But even with this it wasnt enough to have me not finish out the story because i did enjoy it.

It was cool to see Emma and Kade grow together. Emma is a force to be reckoned with - she is extremely skilled with her wings and its almost funny at times when her wings seem to take a mind of their own when her 'battle instincts' start to kick in. It was great seeing some of the old characters and the new ones come into play in this book - it was interesting how **SPOILER ALERT!!!** They brought in Mark - who was Malachi's twin so it was like he was still fighting with the group - having him there was bitter sweet because while it was nice it was a sad reminder of what happened with Malachi...

"I'm SO VERY HAPPY that Cameo has decided to continue the Hidden Wings story...even if it's for just one more book. I don't care. This book was everything I was hoping it would be! Emma and Kade are together of course. At the beginning of the book Emma reveals to Kade that she's been having nightmares...she takes it as premonitions and let's Elaine and the family know. They get a warning of a threat from one of Ethon's old guards. That makes Elaine call for help by Midway. Lucian has a nephiliam daughter no one knew about until now. Lilith is hell bent on destroying everything and everyone Emma holds dear. Lilith think Emma killed her father...(if you guys read the previous book you all know that's not true) Emma tries to reason with her But Lilith is just so blinded with hatred and vengeance...Midway sends none other than....Dom to help...YES Dom is back! He had me smiling and laughing to myself. Ahhh...I love that everyone...(well almost everyone) is back. Alex and Thomas are back too! Even Emma's two friends. I loved the ending. It had my heart racing there for a minute and yes...I teared up a little. I'm sad to see the book is over! Wahhhhh! 😭 I think I have yet another book hangover thanks to you, Cameo. Lol.

When I learned that author Cameo Renae planned to add a book to her Hidden Wings Series, I was both excited and worried. I was in love with the idea of spending more time in the world of Emma, Kade, and the rest of their family and friends. I was also fearful that an any addition to the story might fail to meet the very high standards already set by the Hidden Wings Series.

I was thrilled to find that Wings of Vengeance met, and exceeded, the bar previously set.

This story was centered around the strength given through the love of family and friends. It also focused on finding one’s own courage and power. Finally, it highlighted the strength of love versus the debilitating effects from hate.

There were triumphs and tragedies. I faced several emotional moments during the course of the book. Renae’s masterful storytelling had not diminished in any way, and I found myself absorbed into a fantastic addition to the Hidden Wings Series.

Bought this book today and couldn't put it down. It was as good as the other's as I knew it would be. It continued where the last book, book four finished. This one sees Kade and Emma starting their lives together surrounded by family and friends. A new foe in the mix, an evil teenager, female, not a good combination, taking all that's evil and throwing it at Emma. Blaming her for the death of her father. This book was good, really good. It brought back characters we have already met, Dom, Alex, Thomas, introduced a familiar face, but not, and new characters. The twists and turns had me enthralled from start to finish. I almost felt sorry for Lillith, but not quite. I wont tell the story as it gives it away. Read the box set then read this one. It completes Emma's story, or does it? Is there more to tell? Perhaps. Thank you to the author for writing five brilliant stories, I will watch for more. A********************** A good read, well worth the buy.
