Sorry for “inconvenience”… broke my printer
The picture shows the error message I received first. I contacted customer service, and they asked me to do a series of checks, but the error continued to appear. Then they asked me to install the second magenta cartridge from my purchase, and the printer threw a new error message. Then they sent replacement cartridges, but still no improvement. (“One or more cartridges appear to be damaged”…) Now the manufacturer says sorry for the “inconvenience” and offered a refund.My wife and I have used this brand of replacement cartridge in the past without these issues, but I guess we got unlucky this time. In the past we had problems with print quality, or color trueness, but usually cleaning the paint head helped enough.Think twice before purchasing these. My wife and I have used this brand of replacement cartridge in the past without these issues, but I guess we got unlucky this time. In the past we had problems with print quality, or color trueness, but usually cleaning the paint head helped enough.
Think twice before purchasing these. They could break your printer, and customer service could just leave you hosed like us.
Will update if there is a reason to do so.
