Only downside is the colored lights in the housing are always on unless you power down your PC.
the changing colors on top of the unit is unique. Always going, no way to turn it off. Wish there was.
the unit when not doing anything, but being plugged into USB runs a bit warm, not hot, not to be concerned with, just not cold.
Speed will vary based on the type of USB you plug it into. Most people do not understand that their USB ports can be USB 2, USB 3, USB 3.1, etc. all having different max ranges. This is USB 3.2 and when plugged into a port that supports that - seems to get close to that max (20Gbps). If you can get the 2TB at a cost below 100, it is a good deal.
When I've used it on my PS4, it connects ok, but will randomly disconnect making downloaded games unusable. This leads to the PS4 repairing the drive, sometimes retaining the data and sometimes not. With the Blu-ray player it will only connect occasionally.
If you don't have the same connection issues, it may be a good drive because it is at least fast.
One last problem is the light up screen on one side. This is incredibly annoying and unnecessary. I always face the light up side down, but depending on the orientation of the USB input this may be difficult. Luckily, this just stopped working eventually.

My use case is copying large video files from PC to drive then attaching drive to media player to play films and TV shows. The Quick cache is around 300GB. Tom's Hardware has it faster than even the Sandisk G40 up to 5mins!
May be different if used for Big backups, but for me I would rarely be transferring more 250GB at a time for a few 4k DV movies so it's ideal. And look at the price difference! It's early days of course so what it's like long term I don't know. Looks and feels quite sturdy. So I'm getting 1.22 GBps from the San Disk and 1.45 GBps from the Adata. I'm happy with that, certainly beats the 70 MBps I used to get from My Passport drive!
The company I used (Morelenet) has it at a good price and delivery was way ahead of estimate. All in all I love it!!
