Love Off-Limits: A Sweet Romantic Comedy (Some Kind of Love) Kindle Edition
Tyler is hard enough to resist. Put a baby goat in his arms? I'm done for.
When I meet Tyler Marino at a wedding, romance is the last thing on my mind.
Yes, he’s gorgeous. Yes, we have instant chemistry.
But this summer is all about convincing my skeptical parents I’m ready to run our family farm. I can't afford to give Tyler’s smoldering smile a passing glance.
Fine. I glance. And possibly . . . kiss.
But then I go home all the way to a different state. Crisis averted.
Until Tyler shows up in North Carolina looking for a job. Of course, I give him one. We’ve already established I’m terrible at resisting his charm.
It’s a disaster waiting to happen. Tyler doing manual labor within easy sight of my office window. Me trying NOT to randomly tumble into his arms. But no matter how cute he looks holding a baby goat, he’s off-limits until I earn my dad’s trust.
But what if pushing him away for now means losing him forever?
Love Off-Limits is a sweet and swoony romcom full of sizzling kisses, small-town charm, and adorable farm animals. Books in the Some Kind of Love series are connected but can be read in any order.

About the author
Jenny Proctor is an award-winning author of more than fourteen romantic comedies and an Amazon bestseller. She began her career in publishing in 2013; her writing has been a constant since then, but she also spent time as the owner and managing editor of Midnight Owl Editors and the chair of the Storymakers Conference. Wired for relationships, Jenny loves public speaking, teaching, and building lasting connections.
Jenny was born in the mountains of Western North Carolina, a place she considers one of the loveliest on earth. She loves to hike with her family and spend time outdoors, but she also adores lounging around her home, reading great books or watching great movies and, when she’s lucky, eating delicious food she doesn’t have to prepare herself.

But when Tyler shows up looking for work, Liv caves and gives him a job, with the understanding that NOTHING can happen between them. But the longer Tyler is there the stronger their chemistry. Can Liv have it all, or will she have to sacrifice one for the other.
I enjoyed this so much more than I thought I would! While there was some misunderstanding and angst, I understood where Liv was coming from. I really loved how she continued to stand up for herself even while she was struggling, and in the end chose to face her own fears and insecurities first before the big conversations and decisions. And I loved Tyler so much!! His courage in branching out to figure out what he really wanted. His tender pursuit of Liv, while understanding and respecting her boundaries. While at the same time having healthy boundaries and self respect himself.
And of course the situations and supporting characters were so fun!! Liv's family - despite some misunderstandings - were supportive and hilarious. Not to mention Penelope the baby goat! The farm was an intriguing and beautiful setting, and I loved the creative aspects of the story. Plus so many swoony or hysterical situations! This was sweet, fun, and thoughtful. I definitely will read more, as this is the prequel to the Hawthorne Brothers books.

Thank you to the author for my review copy. These words are my own.
– this is book 3 of a series but can be read as a stand-alone
– this is told from Olivia and Tyler’s points of view
Review:
Does anyone else like reading stories with farms because of the animals? This one has some naughty chickens, an adorable baby goat, and a few other animals in passing! I loved the scene with Olivia, Tyler and the chickens 🐓😂. And Tyler with the baby goat 🐐 was so cute! (This is not one scene, but multiple 😍) Tyler and Olivia’s love story was awesome! Especially with Olivia’s family teasing her about her interest in him 😂.
Tyler and Olivia meet at a wedding for their best friends and have instant chemistry and attraction for one another. As they spend the event talking to one another they both could see the potential for more, but Olivia is trying to be different for her family right now and isn’t looking to have a serious relationship. So she pushes Tyler away and tries to move on.
Until Tyler shows up at her family’s farm looking for a job and a second chance. Though Olivia knows it would be a bad idea, she gives Tyler a job and tells him that they cannot have a relationship per the rules. But seeing him around all the time might make her want to break her rules, especially when he starts to care for a baby goat and it follows him around the property.
While Tyler agrees to not try and start something with Olivia because of the rules she gave, he can’t seem to stop wanting to spend time around her and flirt with her. He is willing to respect her boundaries, but when they do choose to start a relationship he is firm in pointing out that he is all in and wants Olivia for the long-haul. Not just a fling. If she isn’t able or willing to agree to it, he needs to protect his heart and leave.
Will Olivia choose to live for herself or for her family? Will Tyler need to protect his heart?
Jenny writes a family in the very best way. All the complexities of emotion and the relationships. Families are HARD and Jenny was able to fully realize that in this book. The relationships don’t all end up perfect, because that’s ridiculous. You don’t choose your family, so it’s never going to be exactly right. But it is always clear that family is important and worth the time and effort to keep those relationships going.
The romance. Oh the romance. Tyler and Olivia are just perfect for each other and I love it when I want to crawl into a book and smack both characters into seeing what’s right in front of them. 😊
Fabulous writing. Thank you for another winner Jenny!!!

These two spend the most amazing night staring at the stars, in each other’s arms getting to know each other and fantasising about a life that could be.
The next morning they part ways.
Weeks later they meet again when Tyler uproots his life and goes in search of work and companionship on Olivia’s family farm.
Watching these two navigate their relationship, and Olivia’s relationships with those around her was nothing short of incredible. My heart hurt seeing Olivia second guess her relationship and role within the business, but it especially broke when she thought her dad and brother didn’t have any faith in her ability and ideas.
Watching Tyler do farm work just for a chance to be around Olivia, and slowly discover what he really wanted to do with his life was equal parts cute and inspiring. In the beginning I couldn’t picture what role he would end up in, but by the end I couldn’t imagine him in any other. Videographer, goat raiser, lover of Olivia, and failed chicken wrangler.
Olivia and Tyler’s relationship was not easy, and neither were the conversations they both needed to have: with themselves, with the people they loved and with each other.
But watching their worlds fall in sync and the two of them get their dreams: a love like no other, a restaurant and a place where they belong.
“Thank you for believing in me before I believed in myself.”
“I could say the same to you.”
She leaned in and rested her head against my chest. “Let’s always do that for each other, okay? Whatever it is.”
I loved these two, and I can’t wait to go back to the beginning and read the rest of the stories in the series, if only to experience a little bit more of the world Jenny Proctor has so beautifully woven together.
