This was another interesting, gritty tale. Greer was determined to protect her family. I loved her strength to do what was necessary but also to not keep her from following her heart. Knox was so protective of her and her family. Danger came around hard and often, and this couple made it through with more than bruises but hearts intact. I enjoyed this book and recommend it. I received a copy of this story through Elle Woods Promotions, and this is my unsolicited review.

Knox has had Greer on his mind. When he discovers she’s in trouble he rides to the rescue. But things are more complicated than he imagined. Still he’s got a few tricks up his sleeves. Good story although it seemed that Greer walked into trouble instead of thinking things through. My biggest problem with the story is that I started the series here and the rest of the family makes appearances. It took me a while to figure out who all the players were. About the author

Avery Samson grew up on a ranch outside of a small west Texas town. Since she could remember, she’s had her face stuck in a book. High School graduation found her leaving ranch life for the big city.

After living all over the state of Texas, she now finds herself back on one of the family ranches near Dallas with her husband surrounded by cattle. A lot of them. They’re everywhere! When not traveling or reading, she spends her time writing.
