I previously bought the .30mm Isograph and love it! I use it everyday, sometimes up to 18 hrs a day. So I decided to try some of the other sizes. But when i received this .20mm, i bought two of them, one had a broken/cracked piece on the top of the nib which allowed the needle inside to get stuck and could've fallen out of the nib. It also didnt flow well when writing. So I messaged the seller and they corrected the issue right away with a refund. I think this might be a problem with this size (.20mm) because Ive seen lots of these by themselves for sale on here. I still love these pens! Its nice to have so many sizes for different drawing/writing situations. I have owned some other tech pens, like the Staedtler brand, many decades ago, but they are overpriced IMO and dont work any better than the rOtring Isograph tech pens. So if you need a tech pen with fine lines save yourself some $$ and buy rOtring !Edit 5-19-2022I had been very pleased with these rOtring isograph pens. But for one of my .20 mm it fell apart?! I'd only used this a few times for highly detailed drawings. But when i went to use it last week the tiny steal tube the nib needle goes thru, it was gone?! I thought the piece might have been in the cap, but no luck. I guess that didnt matter as its prob not a fixable part/problem. I contacted the company(rOtring) directly and waiting to hear back. These do have a two year warranty, i've had this one almost a year. And unfortunately, my other four rOtring Isographs seem to either have several cracks on the tubes(the part that screws over the ink reservoir), or starting to crack. Ive tried tape, sewing thread and a touch of glue, nothing stops them! Even this .20 only used 4-6x is starting to get them. And my first Isograph .30mm, the edge of the tube where the threads are, just crumbled away in my hand the other day. No way to screw it back on to keep the inkwell from getting popped off. So i just taped it together until i finished what i was doing.I wished they sold spare parts somewhere! I doubt i could make these parts very accurately.I mean for what they cost, they should last decades, not a year or two If you take care of them, clean them regularly, and keep them someone safe.. I keep mine in a metal tin on my desk when not in use. I still have my technical drafting pens/pencils from high school in the mid 80s, they all still work great.

It is difficult to express how superior the Rotring pens are to the Koh-I-Noor version, in my opinion. I gave up on tech pens years ago, after spending far too much money for a poor student on pens that clogged on days of the week ending in "day". It seemed at times just looking at them made them clog.(Edit) I am updating this to say that it is imperative that you use Rotring's ink in these pens, although I suppose the Koh-i-noor tech pen ink would work as well. Don't Use Dr. Martin's in these. I have 4 Rotring Isographs: .2, .3, .35 and .4. They are, in a word, superb. I generally draw on cotton paper, and the feel is superior to the other product. I have tried Faber Castell and Alvin as well. Alvin was superb, but extremely scarce. Faber Castell...don;t waste your money. The Rotring Isograph is what a technical pen is supposed to be. In essesnce, Koh-I-Noor, F, Castell= Ford Pinto. Rotring=Porsche 911. And they COST LESS.

This pen is great. I really like it and highly recommend it for anyone wanting to create thin lines. I use it with white ink to create facets on gemstones. It's perfect. I only gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because it's a little tricky to get used to. Since the tip is so fine, it clogs a lot and the ink won't flow. The trick is to barely touch the paper with it. Don't put a lot of pressure on it. Also make sure to clean the tip often by soak it in warm water and alcohol. I hopes this helps.

You cannot get a better isograph technical pen then Rotring. The line size is always consistent and the rotring ink used in the pen is smudge proof and water proof.. It also dries really quickly. If u r into stippling or pointillism kind of drawing then Rotring is the best.
