Update: Stopped using it. Non standard keys/layout was too anoying.
Update: I've been using the keyboard for a while now and the odd layout choices are too annoying. Even after pulling some of the keys that I kept hitting accidently. I won't mention the product, but I found a 104 split keyboard for the same price range that actually follows the standard 104 key layout. I'm much happier with that product.Original Review:--------------------------I'm really mixed on this. Overall it is a really good keyboard. I own several of the MS split keyboards. The very old Explorer was really good, the 4000 requires too much activation force and the Sculpt has the right side rearranged.I thought "finally a split keyboard like the old Explorer that doesn't mess up the the 104 part of the keyboard."The keys have a good travel and activation force, and the right side of the keyboard is in a standard layout. However, do yourself a favor and remove the "apps key", "Office" and Emoji keys. They can be removed with minor force with a butter knife or flat head screw driver. To put them back, press them back into place. It seems like every ergo keyboard has to do something "special" for some reason. Here is the deal. You will launch Office *a lot* because of this stupid Office key. You cannot disable the key with the MS Keyboard and Mouse software. Same with the left side. The apps key is where the start key would normally be. Want to hit Win+E for the file explorer? Congrats! You got the context menu by accident instead.I think the best comparison is if you have a Roku or other remote with the buttons dedicated to launching Sling or Netflix or whatever. Think about how often those buttons accidently get pressed. It's that kind of user experience.Another minor item is that the ScrLk, Pause and NumLk keys are not separated from the Insert/home/pgup keys like a normal 104 key keyboard. It can be learned, but normally I hit the keys by memory and top separator detection which causes me to hit scrLk by mistake. My experience so far is that when I'm in the flow, I have a decent chance of accidently hitting scroll lock or pause instead of insert or home.I think that if I use this keyboard for a while I will get used to it (especially after removing the special keys.)So far, I like the keyboard much more than I dislike it.Oh, did I mention how annoying the "Launch Office" key is?
