This of course meant that I’d have to downsize...which I was reluctant to do at first because how was I ever to get along without the three year old business card of the AC guy that came out that one time...or the countless others...but one by one, I went through it all and came to the conclusion that I only really “need” my credit/bank cards, drivers license, various insurance cards, and opted for a type of tracking card incase I misplace my new wallet. I know that Ekster has their own tracking card, however I already had a Tile on my key ring and therefor was already using their app on my phone so I decided to give the Tile Slim a try (as it is about the size of two credit cards put together).
So after doing days of research, I decided that the Ekster Parliament would fit my needs as a wallet I could store all my essential things in and also as one that would fit nicely and compactly in my front pocket. This wallet also has RFID blocking in the compartment that holds your cards...so that was also another ‘check’ this product had on my needs list.
The wallet itself seems to be made really well and the leather is nice and soft (exactly the same as I’d expect to find when looking at a traditional one). The card compartment has a nice feature at the bottom where a simple push of your finger inward while holding, will make the cards inside stair step up to where you can choose the one you are needing at that moment. I’ve seen where others have said that the feature makes all their cards come up in a stack and all I can say is that this isn’t the case with the one I have. I would imagine the amount of cards in the compartment would dictate how it would work. I myself have five and some have raised lettering and numbers and some don’t. I have found that how far the cards come up can be adjusted by how fast you click the lever in. If I push it in slowly with little force, they will come up just enough to see what I need...however if I click it with a fast press, they will stick up to how they appear in my picture above. Hopefully this mechanism will last for the long haul...at its price, it should...but only time will tell. The only other thing worth noting is that even with the few cards that I have in the wallet, the ones that are not in the holding tray, it does make the wallet not want to close. I do see that the manufacturer states that this will be the case until the leather naturally stretches and takes shape, which makes sense, however even if it doesn’t, the pros of this product outweigh the cons to me and I wouldn’t send it back because of it. For me anyway, it only stays open a slight bit while on the nightstand instead of closing flat but when I put it in my pocket, it keeps it closed all the way. I have included pictures with my Apple Watch to show size of this product and also its size compared to the Tile Slim...which I keep in the back opening.
All in all, I would definitely recommend this product if you’re in the market for a minimalist wallet but are still wanting that leather feel and extra storage that you would have been accustomed to with a traditional wallet. I will update this review if I start to have any issues with the mechanism or any other issue that isn’t self inflicted. Also wanted to mention that the wallet came in a nicely packaged black box that was plastic wrapped. If you receive one in which the box isn’t wrapped in plastic, I’d be weary that it is probably a return and would seek a replacement....just my advice.

P.S: I'll update if anything bad happens with the wallet, if you hear nothing than it's still going good.

My complaints are not too major for myself, but I did find it mildly inconvenient that the main slot requires 5 or 6 cards in order to gain enough friction for it to stay in place. I understand it advertised that amount, but the fact that your experience varies depending on the number of embossed cards against flat cards can leave you scrambling to find another card you can throw in there, or wishing you could squeeze one more in there without it feeling too tight. The bigger gripe I have is how the cards don't consistently slide out in even layers if it's too tight, but the cards don't stay in securely if it's too loose. In extension with the first complaint I had, it can be frustrating figuring out which combination of cards will enable a secure fit and allow them to slide out perfectly. See screenshots for examples of 6 cards vs 5 cards.
All in all, I am happy with this purchase. Definitely a positive minimalist shift from my traditional bifold wallet, and a better experience for me than the metallic minimalist wallets from Ridge and its several competitors.

Still very happy. Wallet still looks new. Mechanism still works perfectly. If you can live with just a few cards, an ID and maybe one or two bills max, you'll love this thing. This wallet is super comfortable in your front pocket. Using the card eject mechanism becomes almost automatic with a little muscle memory. It would be really hard to go back to a regular wallet.

We are going to start off at 5 stars and see how it goes.
Initial impressions are very good. The leather is beautiful, feels good, smells good. The lift mechanism works smoothly. I particularly like the shape as it's extremely comfortable in my front pocket. I also like the pocket in the back that is free of the "ANTI-RFID" nonsense so I can put my metro pass in it and it reads through the leather.
*SHORT RFID RANT* Nobody anywhere needs an anti-RFID wallet! Nobody anywhere has ever had their identity stolen from a wallet in their pocket while walking around. Years ago some students did a proof of concept under very specific conditions. It has never happened for real but spawned a billion dollar industry selling dumb products***END RANT***
This wallet is not a good choice if you use a lot of cash. I have my one "emergency ten dollar bill" under the strap and it's enough for the flap to stay partially open. Ekster says this improves as the wallet gets broken in. We'll see.
Pay attention to how Ekster counts "embossed" and "non-embossed" cards differently. They give you a max number of un-embossed and then a 2nd number of "mixed" but no max number of embossed cards. I have 3 embossed cards and one un-embossed in the lift mechanism and it's pretty much maxed out. I can stuff one more un-embossed card in but it's so tight that all the cards lift as a solid block rather than fanning out. I'm ok with this since I was already carrying a minimalist wallet and the work of getting rid of the clutter has already been done.
This wallet cost more than every other wallet I have ever owned combined. I'm expecting it to last for many years and will be very unhappy if it doesn't. I really had to hold my nose to do business with this company. Their warranty is garbage and the language makes it appear as though they are getting a large number of wallets sent back. I'm particularly worried that they put quality into everything you can see and touch but the hidden mechanism is plastic garbage. There are a LOT of YouTube videos showing wallets with busted mechanisms. If/when mine fails I will be doing a video of the autopsy and splitting that aluminum Case to get a look at the mechanism. For the price it should be made out of steel and ball bearings.

Both the leather and the lift mechanism have held up well. It looks and works as good as it did on day one. I could never go back to a regular wallet. Very happy so far.
