Groupie (Rock-Hard Beautiful Book 1) Kindle Edition
Don't read it unless you like to ugly cry...and also unless you like threesomes, foursomes...and moresomes.
“Can one of these five rockstars fill the hole in my heart? Or will I stay broken forever?”
Young, dumb, and broke.
That's what started everything. With five dollars in her pocket, and everything she owns stuffed in the back of her car, Lilith Goode's life is over. Done. Destroyed.
Ten words. One text. That's what it took to change the whole world.
A crumpled concert ticket. A chance encounter. That's what it takes to start all over again.
Five rockstars. One girl. Six dark hearts, six withered souls.
But can one broken person really put another back together again?
And is a cross-country tour the place to do it?

About the author
C.M. Stunich is a self-admitted bibliophile with a love for exotic teas and a whole host of characters who live full time inside the strange, swirling vortex of her thoughts. Some folks might call this crazy, but Caitlin Morgan doesn't mind – especially considering she has to write biographies in the third person. Oh, and half the host of characters in her head are searing hot bad boys with dirty mouths and skillful hands (among other things). If being crazy means hanging out with them everyday, C.M. has decided to have herself committed.
She hates tapioca pudding, loves to binge on cheesy horror movies, and is a slave to many cats. When she's not vacuuming fur off of her couch, C.M. can be found with her nose buried in a book or her eyes glued to a computer screen. She's the author of over thirty novels – romance, new adult, fantasy, and young adult included. Please, come and join her inside her crazy. There's a heck of a lot to do there.
Oh, and Caitlin loves to chat (incessantly), so feel free to e-mail her, send her a Facebook message, or put up smoke signals. She's already looking forward to it.
Stalk me, please!

This time, I'm thrilled to say they were right, and I was wrong. I'm not sure what else I can say that hasn't already been said. The guys were HOT, the sex was steamy and made me question everything about I ever thought about was acceptable in the bedroom and there was so much relatable pain and angst I was brought to tears numerous times. Each guy had his own separate identity and personality, though I admit the two that stuck out to me the most were Pax and Michael. But all of them were well developed.
I admit though, I almost didn't make it through the beginning. Lilith, the main character's realization and self loathing after her loss, I found to be a bit much; but I understood why it was there. I skimmed it and began again at the concert. I needed to get past that point to meet the guys, because I wasn't sure I liked her at first. Hell, I don't even think she liked herself. After that point, though, I was involved, and even though I"m sitting here like "WHY DO I LIKE THIS!?!" I just couldn't pull away. There is hardly anything logical about five guys sharing one girl. But, here it seemed feasible even if many of my own personal rules were broken. But, I mowed down all three books in two days in KU--and even went on to purchase them officially to have in my Kindle forever. AND, I've already started re-reading them, and I NEVER re-read books. EVER.
What I didn't care for was in various spots (I'm speaking of the series as a hole), Lilith was just a tad too forgiving, and I would have liked to of seen her give some certain people the boot; because they deserved. However, I understand the point the author was trying to make, and respect it. It doesn't make me like the series any less.
I also hated Pax with a passion at first; he's a man with some grudges. But towards the end, he actually became my favorite. I am a proclaimed hater of the a$$hole man trope in books but this jerk face won me over.
ALL of them have tumultuous pasts, and issues with healing and trusting. Somehow they find each other and go on a healing journey of self discovery. Yeah, sometimes--a lot of times--that included sex. Big whoop. It was a LOT of sex. A. LOT. But, I didn't really mind it; the emotions involved during were poignant and raw.
I really don't know what else to say. As someone who has had a really tough life herself, I admit I found myself in these pages, relating a little too well. This author takes us on a personal journey, and it's clear she probably knows pain as well; there is no way you can write that way without having experienced deep loss, self-loathing, inferiority...any number of things.
SO to recap. If you are a person that hasn't suffered any trials in your life; I don't think you'll relate to this. If you hate graphic sex, and find it vulgar... you won't like this book. If you are an apathetic jerk, I don't think you'll enjoy this. If you don't like M/M action... pass on this (I found it flipping hot...I won't mention who it was but their connection was fiery!!) If you have heart, aren't judgy, and like the fantasy of being adored by five dudes...give it a go. ;)
Now the last question is this; where the hell can I sign up to find me five guys like this!?! Surely, there must a group somewhere, right!?!? PLEASE SOMEONE TELL ME!!!!
I will say I was pretty disappointed because this book was repeatedly described to have an M/M scene. I can tell you, I would NOT call it that. I'm honestly still confused as to what all those reviews are referring to
Mild spoilers about possible M/M scene:

There are like two small moments where two of the guys kiss. If this is the hot steamy M/M scene then I must be ruined forever because I could find a more passionate make out scene in a middle grade book.
NO SPOILERS BEYOND THIS POINT
All in all it was a solid, pretty dang safe read. I recommend it. The sex scenes are solidly written and do not make you feel like they are rushed. The dynamics between everyone involved feel like natural responses and don't fall into the "we are all okay with sharing a girl because of... Mystic reasons"
It definitely isn't the most healthy relationships between everyone involved but they all make sense. I could see these relationships happening in real life.
Words can’t describe how much I loved this book. I have only ever read one RH previously and surprisingly loved it, so I don’t know why I was hesitant to read another. I’m glad I picked this one. I liked that the ages here are all adult. There are a lot of RH that are HS or college based and that isn’t as much my thing.
While this is book one of a trilogy, technically you could read it as a standalone and move on, as it does end in a HFN. Even if I didn’t know there were more books I’d still be happy with the ending. So this is definitely not a cliffhanger.
But I’m so excited to read more about Lilith and her 5 guys.
It did take me a little while to keep the backstories of Muse, Ran, and Cope straight as they are the most alike, I had to stop to think which tidbits of information I’d heard before was about which guy, but eventually I caught on. There is something to love about all 5 guys, even Pax and Michael. Not at first but eventually.
There was good character development here with all 6 MCs and yet there is still more to uncover. I’m emotionally invested in these guys and I can feel Lilith’s pain and struggle.
As you can imagine, this being a story with 1 girl and 5 guys that’s is gonna be smexy, and was it. 🔥🥵 But none of the scenes were gratuitous, no many how many of them were involved.
I only planned on listening to this as a sample and then move onto one of my other books but I was obsessed and completely blew off my Saturday to devour this.
I’m not doing this review justice, but I think it’s best to just jump right in. Too many characters to try and review them properly. Maybe I’ll do that after I finish the series.
I cannot recommend this book enough. I dare to say it’s my favorite read of 2022 so far ❤️
