I use this fight stick on PC. Drivers are available at the mad catz website.
Appearance - The overall appearance of the entire thing is pretty nice, the plastic doesn't look in any way cheap or flimsy. Feels strong and looks clean. Very easy to open up, dont need to unscrew anything to get a look inside of it so it's very easy to swap any components out if you'd desire. Some reviewers were/are reporting some part of it to creek/squeak(?) Mine doesnt have this issue. The bottom part of the the entire "pad" has material that will keep it from slipping around on tables or most surfaces.
Stick and buttons - Both the stick and buttons feel pretty good ALTHOUGH I will say that I wish the buttons had a bit more of a -clicky- feel to it in that... I wish I could feel them "click" every time I pushed down on them. They're fine the way they are but I'm very certain I will swap them out later on down the road. Stick feels good, although it comes with a square gate, thought it came with an octagonal one but I'll just learn how to play it with the square.
Art - What's there to say about this? It's the official Ryu Capcom art, it's nice, easy to swap out.
Weight - It's a lot heavier than I thought but it's not heavy enough that you'd say it'll be annoying to have in your lap for an extended period of time. You certainly wont have it slipping out of your lap either.
Once again to make it clear, this is my first fight stick, I am no professional and am merely a casual player. Decided to get it for the sake of wanting to have one and learn it. I can certainly pull off moves I otherwise was unable to with a controller. First day, no issues. I'll update it later on and see how things continue to go for me.
As the description says, this fight stick is super easy to mod. There are several YouTube videos showing you how to modify it, and the stick itself comes with directions. I'm not a competent handyman by any stretch of the imagination, but I've modified mine a fair amount and will do more in the future, I'm sure.
There is a learning curve when it comes to switching to a fight stick. If you use this for Street Fighter V, expect to spend time in training mode learning the basics again, but once you start to understand the mechanics, it all comes together nicely. You will have to invest a lot of time into it, but the return is an amazingly rewarding feeling. Some people prefer a fight stick to the controller, but it goes both ways. There are pros that still use a controller so stick to whatever is comfortable to you. I will say that, for me, a fight stick feels more natural. I'm sure there are people that feel the opposite. The fight stick has elevated my ability higher than it was before, but that's because I've put more time into learning the game and how to use the stick.
Using a fight stick took me back to when I was a kid. I spent a LOT of time at the local skating rink sinking quarter after quarter after quarter into the Street Fighter 2 arcade cabinet. Bums me out that arcades are a dead medium (at least, in my area it is) but having this fight stick helps ease that pain. If you're looking for a high end fight stick, I highly suggest this one. I've read reviews where people say that their power cord has gone out, and there isn't a place to buy a new one - but I've also heard that the Mad Catz customer support will send you a new one if you contact them.
Overall, this is my new favorite thing. If you're willing to put the time in, this fight stick is a lot of fun. If you spent any time in an arcade as a kid, it's very nostalgic. The Mad Catz TE2+ gets 5 well deserved stars from me.
The last stick I owned was the original TE round 1 and this stick is a vast improvement over that one. Not saying that was a bad stick but 8 years later Madcatz has made a lot of improvements.
I really appreciate how you can easily mod and custom this stick to your liking. The clam shell case is really nice and I like that it comes with its own screwdriver/hex tool. I myself plan on switching to a octo gate, as well as the buttons, and artwork when I am able to.
The touchpad is a nice touch but not completely necessary. At least not for Street Fighter 5 which I bought the stick for. I also like the storage option inside for the Usb cable.
The stick itself and buttons are very responsive and I can pull off most moves and combos no problem. Certain characters benefit more from the square gate that comes stock though.
I'd heard some people saying that the base felt hollow to them but I disagree. I feel that it's pretty hefty and has weight to it. Although it's still comfortable for me to play it on my lap.
Overall, I would recommend this stick to people interested in improving their fighting game skills. Keep in mind though if you've never used a fightstick before it will take time and practice. You won't see immediate results.

100% recomendado.
¡¡¡¡gracias y felicitaciones por un gran servicio!!!!!
1. The TE2+ stick is heavier than the TE1. I don't have the exact weights, but definitely by feel, it's heavier.
2. The length of the TE2+ is just a tad shorter than the TE1, like maybe 0.5". The height is about the same. But the width is much larger on the TE2+, like maybe 2-3" wider. So if you rest the fightstick on your thighs, you'll definitely feel this extra width. People with short legs might have a problem.
3. The button holes on the plexiglass goes around the pushbuttons whereas on the TE1, the pushbuttons sit on top of the plexiglass. So what that means is there's a very tiny gap between the holes and pushbutton. While I haven't personally experience the plexiglass moving, some have mentioned this. And it's technically possible for dust or lint to get inbetween this gap.
4. The foam padding underneath the TE2+ does a great job of keeping friction between the bottom of the stick and the surface it's resting on. ie. the TE1 stick would slide off my legs if it's hanging on the edge of my knees, but the TE2+ will stay put.
5. While it's nice to have a detachable USB cable, it can also get a bit annoying to have to open the fightstick to get it, then attach it to the front and screw it on for added security.
6. The select/start buttons on the TE2+ are a bit harder to reach because they sit on an angle.
7. No turbo functionality on the TE2+.
8. No headphone jack.
But this TE2+ stick still gets 5 stars because it's PS3/PC compatible right out the box, easier to mod, has dedicated L3 & R3 buttons and a functioning touchpad, light up gimmick that's found on the dualshock 4, Sanwa Denshi parts, high quality cabinet. So ideally, for existing TE1 owners, these are the things to consider if you're considering upgrading to a TE2+ stick. For newcomers, highly recommended.
