The Raleigh Felix is the ‘do-it-all’ electric hybrid bike, capable of tackling commutes with ease or providing a comfortable option for leisurely weekend rides. The Felix is a fully equipped bike with mudguards, a pannier rack and a kickstand as well as featuring front suspension to make riding over mixed terrains more comfortable.

7 speed Shimano gearing means you’ll have the perfect option for all inclines; plus, with electric assistance available at the touch of a button, you’re guaranteed to glide up hills with ease when you need the extra support. Available in both a low step and crossbar frame type. Rest assured, this model also comes with a 2-year warranty on all electrical components.
 
Battery:
The Felix’s 300Wh battery capacity can provide a realistically achievable range average of 30-35 miles (max 60 miles)* on a single charge.  The battery is locked onto the bike using an individual key to protect it from theft, however it can be easily removed from the bike for simple indoor charging. To support the sophisticated motor and battery system, this model comes with a smart control system (BMS) that protects the battery from overheating, short circuiting or overcharging.

Choosing an electric bike can be a daunting prospect and the safety around electric bike batteries is often at the forefront of peoples minds. At Halfords we have a rigorous process to ensure these batteries are as safe as can be.

We inspect production facilities to ensure they meet the necessary safety standards, we also ask our manufacturers to run third party tests to guarantee an impartial opinion. There are a number of UK and European laws regarding the standards that electric bikes must meet. Our batteries comply with international standards EN62133 which specify the requirements of the safe operation of lithium batteries and UN38.3 which certifies the safety of our batteries during transportation.

Range*:
All electric bikes indicate a maximum mileage range that they can cover on a single battery charge. This is the furthest range in ideal conditions; however, this range can be impacted by a number of factors:

• The combined weight of the rider and any luggage.
• The assistance mode selected.
• The cycling route (e.g. type of terrain and inclines).
• Temperature and climate (e.g. cold weather will decrease the performance of the battery).
• Tyre pressure.
• Wind speed and direction.

Motor:
The Felix uses the Active Line Motor system from market leader Bosch and can provide up to a 240% power output in its top setting to a maximum speed of 15.5mph / 25km/h. The crank-driven, centre mounted motor provides the most natural feeling power delivery and is virtually noise and drag free, making riding a pleasure.
 
Sensor:
The crank based power control in the system is delivered courtesy of a premium Torque sensor, which sensitively eases the power in and out in response to your input, providing a natural ride feel.
