Misti Murphy writes hilarious and angsty romantic comedies to keep you up all night. Swoony heroes, witty banter, and Batman references are her jam.

When she's not writing she lives in an imaginary world full of happy humans, glitter, and unicorns. Not that being a mother of four, plus five fur kids isn't practically the same thing. Except when they steal the Tim Tams.

(Kangaroos are practically unicorns, right?)

I loved this book and how it had all the twists and turns. I would definitely recommend and read again.

Overall the book was fine, but I didn't particularly care for her character at times. I did like him though and I did like that she was able to read him sometimes. And when she really took a look at him and thought about it, she knew him and recognized that she knew him and that he was a good guy.

I have expected the baby not to be Rob's. And have that be the drama at the end that challenged the new couple. But that was not the case.

I loved his character and seeing how he struggled with ADHD and how he was all over the place. It felt well written and relatable even to those without ADHD. I also liked how Theo came in at the end, or towards the end, and understood him because of his sister. To have that camaraderie when he lost Rob, was definitely good.

I am planning to stop with this book though. He likes the first five books in the first round of characters at line em up guys. Although I was a bit confused that Vale was in this book Because it seems like he was working, yet he quit Be with his girl. So that was a bit surprising and didn't quite make sense.

The non-amerian english terms also got me again in this book. Books one two and five did not seem like they used Australian/british English terms. But this book went back full force it felt like. There were so many times when I was reading it that I thought, no. No. No. That's not what we say. That's not the terms we use. So I feel like there's a lack of consistency in that regard with these books and I definitely prefer the American English seen as the characters live in the US. I will say the same thing applies when characters are written in the UK, but use American English. That drives me batty as well. So this book just reverted back in my opinion and I didn't like that aspect either.

Overall, the story was a good, quick read. Though it did feel like it had some gaps in the story. And Rob with his lack of telling his parents and then the awkward dinner was just a bit over the top. That was not okay for the mom to organize when she was told to back off already.

But, anyway. The book is over and I am done with the series with this one.

Side note completely unrelated, I do not like this book cover either. It's not what I picture for the character and the mustache look does not work for me. Even though I can see in the picture he's got it on the chin as well, he doesn't lign them up for a goatee. And while I think a goatee is dated, and you don't see them anymore, I prefer that over the mustache and break in the beard. I feel like the character is more of a full beard 5:00 shadow guy versus what the picture shows. This guy just doesn't do it for me. Lol

Pez and Ramzi's story is so good. Pez's best friend Rob has been dating Ramzi for three years. But Pez has loved her for years. In high school, Ramzi actually told Pez that she liked him and wanted to go out with him. Pez turned her down though. He was dealing with so much that he felt he wasn't good enough for anyone.

Now at 25, Ramzi is concerned about her relationship with Rob. He's hardly home, and never spending time with her anymore. She is lonely. Then she finds out that he actually slept with one of his co-workers and she is carrying hie baby. Now they are over.

Pez is so angry at his best friend, Rob. How could he ever do something like this to Ramzi? Pez has loved her all these years and would always be there for her. When Ramzi had nowhere to go, Pez insisted she move in with him. His only worry was how he could keep from acting on his feelings.

Wow! These two go through so much the first few weeks. Ramzi hates having to rely on anyone, especially Pez. He has always had her back. Even when it came to his best friend. But now she's thinking other things about Pez. She is learning much more about him as a person and she likes everything.

So stinking hot! Holy cow! Love how everything turned out and I definitely need to read more about Pez's fellow bartenders. Enjoy

Good book loved the characters. Loved the relationship with them all and can't wait to read more about this fun group of friends.

I was struggling to rate this one. It is HILARIOUS. i got second hand embarrassment so hard i nearly peed myself. I had to take a break from reading. HOWEVER, FMC is too much like me so i dislike her. She’s bull headed, toxically independent, doesn’t know how to understand her feelings, is self conscious in nearly everything but work and projects her insecurities on Pez. All my worst traits read back to me like someone is writing my life. But i dont think that’s the books fault so much as my own. (ahem, didn’t i just say projecting?) it’s a lot of back and forth, rough waters as it is sorta a love triangle. Besides Rob cheating, it’s a heartwarming love. A lot of healing, growth, and forgiveness. Pez, even with his faults, is patient, kind and understanding. He does his best to overcome his own fears, insecurities, and shortcomings to be whatever RJ needs. Smexy scenes dont take long to pop up, Pez sure knows how to hyper focus on RJ to make sure she’s singing happily everyday. HEA included.

I liked Pez and Ramzi’s story, I had a like/dis like relationship with Rob. I absolutely do not condone cheating but get that people screw up. But where I had to knock stars off was Cleo’s character… she slept with Rob then was going to sleep with Pez KNOWING they were best friends!! I’m sure during the diner scene she was gropping him in the booth by the way the author wrote the scene and who knows if she knew if she was pregnant at that time because it would be around 1-2 months after she slept with Rob…

Then the author was like cool let’s have the co-workers who Rob said drank too much and Cleo was lonely hook up, and now what…. Ohhh they are going to be in a relationship together since Rob and Ramzi split! Maybe that author could have had them just be friends and co-parent or possibly had Rob cheat and not knock her up. That wouldn’t have lost her so many stars after reading a handful of reviews. Seems like everyone loved Pez but hated these same portions of the book.

Ramzi and Pez have several connections. They went to high school together and biw as adults Ramzi dated his best friend until Ramzi discovers her boyfriend is unfaithful. Now she's leaning on Pez and things change for the both of them. Will these two see past friendship? Will there be a HEA?

I love the twists and turns this book took. It was nice to read something I can relate to, being neurodivergent . Keep it up!

I thought this series had finished with Arrow so I was pleasnatly surprised to read this one. It felt like a footnote, especially as Pez was a later addition to the original group, but I did enjoy it. It was good to be back in that bar again, even though most of the original crew had moved on. There were hints of Cal and Hudson though, so that was nice. I wonder if there will be a new generation of stories from this world.

About 100 pages too long, most of what should have been said was OUTSIDE of the speech marks, and it promoted a terrible example of disordered eating. Plus there was no indication anywhere that this was connected to a series. But it was enjoyable enough to read.
