Ramzi James has always been off limits.

I know I shouldn’t get involved with my best friend’s ex. Even if he asked me to look out for her.
But he’s the one who screwed up and lost the right to call her his.
I’ve been in love with her for years. Watching her, wanting her.
Jealous of every kiss, every touch she’s given him.
So tell me… when she ends up in my arms, how do I pretend that I don’t want to keep her there forever?

Misti Murphy writes hilarious and angsty romantic comedies to keep you up all night. Swoony heroes, witty banter, and Batman references are her jam.
When she's not writing she lives in an imaginary world full of happy humans, glitter, and unicorns. Not that being a mother of four, plus five fur kids isn't practically the same thing. Except when they steal the Tim Tams.
(Kangaroos are practically unicorns, right?)

I have expected the baby not to be Rob's. And have that be the drama at the end that challenged the new couple. But that was not the case.
I loved his character and seeing how he struggled with ADHD and how he was all over the place. It felt well written and relatable even to those without ADHD. I also liked how Theo came in at the end, or towards the end, and understood him because of his sister. To have that camaraderie when he lost Rob, was definitely good.
I am planning to stop with this book though. He likes the first five books in the first round of characters at line em up guys. Although I was a bit confused that Vale was in this book Because it seems like he was working, yet he quit Be with his girl. So that was a bit surprising and didn't quite make sense.
The non-amerian english terms also got me again in this book. Books one two and five did not seem like they used Australian/british English terms. But this book went back full force it felt like. There were so many times when I was reading it that I thought, no. No. No. That's not what we say. That's not the terms we use. So I feel like there's a lack of consistency in that regard with these books and I definitely prefer the American English seen as the characters live in the US. I will say the same thing applies when characters are written in the UK, but use American English. That drives me batty as well. So this book just reverted back in my opinion and I didn't like that aspect either.
Overall, the story was a good, quick read. Though it did feel like it had some gaps in the story. And Rob with his lack of telling his parents and then the awkward dinner was just a bit over the top. That was not okay for the mom to organize when she was told to back off already.
But, anyway. The book is over and I am done with the series with this one.
Side note completely unrelated, I do not like this book cover either. It's not what I picture for the character and the mustache look does not work for me. Even though I can see in the picture he's got it on the chin as well, he doesn't lign them up for a goatee. And while I think a goatee is dated, and you don't see them anymore, I prefer that over the mustache and break in the beard. I feel like the character is more of a full beard 5:00 shadow guy versus what the picture shows. This guy just doesn't do it for me. Lol
Now at 25, Ramzi is concerned about her relationship with Rob. He's hardly home, and never spending time with her anymore. She is lonely. Then she finds out that he actually slept with one of his co-workers and she is carrying hie baby. Now they are over.
Pez is so angry at his best friend, Rob. How could he ever do something like this to Ramzi? Pez has loved her all these years and would always be there for her. When Ramzi had nowhere to go, Pez insisted she move in with him. His only worry was how he could keep from acting on his feelings.
Wow! These two go through so much the first few weeks. Ramzi hates having to rely on anyone, especially Pez. He has always had her back. Even when it came to his best friend. But now she's thinking other things about Pez. She is learning much more about him as a person and she likes everything.
So stinking hot! Holy cow! Love how everything turned out and I definitely need to read more about Pez's fellow bartenders. Enjoy
Then the author was like cool let’s have the co-workers who Rob said drank too much and Cleo was lonely hook up, and now what…. Ohhh they are going to be in a relationship together since Rob and Ramzi split! Maybe that author could have had them just be friends and co-parent or possibly had Rob cheat and not knock her up. That wouldn’t have lost her so many stars after reading a handful of reviews. Seems like everyone loved Pez but hated these same portions of the book.
