Wow, Vanessa has her hands full with the guys keeping her captive and trying to fill her belly full of baby batter! When the men find out she has been keeping secrets, bad things are in store for her. We are definitely reminded these guys are not good men and don't really care what Vanessa wants. When things finally do go their way, I love seeing how the guys treat Vanessa and how the dynamics might change. I can't wait to finish their story in the next book!!

I really went back and reread all of Lucia’s books and the first Vanessa book so I could remember everything when this came out. It’s really good, the guys characters are all still crazy AF and there’s lots of steam. But omg Vanessa is the most boring character I've ever read in my life. At least Lucia was interesting. I think Vanessa is probably more realistic… like if a person was in this situation that’s how they’d handle it. Just crying non stop and being sad 24/7. But my God this is a fiction book…. If she’s not gonna really fight back make her become super into them or something I dunno… I’m only at 56% but dang…. She hasn’t gotten interesting yet. Just always crying. She did do one rebellious thing and got in a ton of trouble for it… I dunno… maybe it will get better but she’s just boring to me. One of them called her fascinating and I was like whaaaaat? I really don’t understand what they see in her for them to all be obsessed like this. She is just always “bleak” and saying “no no, I can’t, I can’t” every SINGLE s3x scene when she’s about to O. Like dang..: maybe make her decide she’s gonna take control of her body and mind and decide she’s gonna enjoy it or something?? That woulda been interesting. Shoot maybe they do do that and I’ll have to come back and edit this review. But so far… NOPE just boring af. I liked the guys from Lucia’s so much better I think. Except Victor lol. I wanted to K1LL him…. Anyways that’s my review.

Great installment of Vanessa’s story with her men!

I love this book. I am usually a binge reader but I took my time reading this one because I didn’t want it to end. There was never a dull moment and I never found myself skimming. That was a wild ride, I was put on an emotional rollercoaster while reading this book. This is book 2 of the Breeding Contempt series. This is a dark romance. Extra emphasis on the dark. Be aware of the trigger warnings before reading because this book isn't for the faint of heart. It is definitely a page turner that kept me interested in the story from beginning to end.

The authors do an amazing job of making you feel as though you are right there with our heroine and suffering alongside with her. I found that there were all sorts of twist and turns and definite varying shades of temperament between the men. She is soft and kind and yet she has her own quiet strength. I love the way the authors slowly bring these men to their knees for Vanessa, while also keeping their true colors of crazy. The guys keep you guessing at every turn and they are such fascinating and truly unique characters. Plus we get to see some character growth in this book.

Each character has their very own distinct voice. It’s also never overwhelming for me with having more than a couple POVs, in fact I love getting in each of the MCs heads!

Overall it was an amazing read. It was hard for me to put down. The authors created a narrative that just sucks you in and keeps you wanting to see what happens next. They are a truly amazing author duo and one of my personal favorites!!! Every time I think these two ladies can’t write a book that will make me love it more than the previous, they definitely prove me wrong!! This book has some hot chemistry and twists you won't want to miss. I can’t wait to get more of this world in book 3.

I absolutely recommend this series but start with Lucia’s trilogy, Spoils of Victory, first if you can!!! It'll be interesting to see how everything pans out for Vanessa and her men. I am also anxious and wondering if she and Lucia will ever see each other again!!! Can’t wait to find out in the conclusion of this story!!

Not a single aspect of this literature is romance. Should be labelled as dark erotica. Kudos to the authors for at least giving trigger warning though. The FMC deserved every bit of the torture she got.

Okay, this is not a traditional sweet romance, but that's not what I bought it for. I knew it would be dark, and that Giulio, Damien and Slayer were not good guys. They're deliciously bad, and they're ruthlessly committed to their goal; Breeding Vanessa.

Vanessa is so much braver than she realises, and goes to desperate measures to try and prevent them from reaching their goal. In this book we see so much character development with the guys too, and I loved every second of it. Damien's back story is heartbreaking, and explains so much. Giulio, well apart from being hilarious at times, he's complex and deadly, especially in anger, but there's a heart in there somewhere. Slayer? His character evolved deliciously in this book, and we saw small glimpses of the man behind the killer, FYI, he got hotter.

I honestly loved every minute of this book. I was on the edge of my seat a lot of the time, and fell in love with all three men, not for the first time, and definitely not for the last. Eagerly awaiting the final instalment!!
