Growing up, Shayna always envisioned her departure as a moment of triumph, a day when she would leave behind the limitations of her upbringing and step into a world brimming with possibilities. Through sheer determination, resilience, and an unwavering commitment to her dreams, Shayna carves out a path that she believes will lead her to freedom and fulfillment.

However, Shayna's journey is not without its trials. As she steps into the world beyond the Reservation, she is confronted with unforeseen dangers and challenges that test her strength and resolve. Every step becomes deeply entwined with the ghosts of her family's past, revealing long-buried secrets that threaten to unravel the very fabric of her future.

Her brother Tao and her best friend Frankie pledge their loyalty to Shayna as she navigates the ghosts of her family’s past and the near destruction of her future. All with a little help from her second family back in Edenville.

Danielle Stewart is a USA Today Best Selling Author of over thirty books. Her series include The Piper Anderson Series, The Edenville Series, The Clover Series, The Piper Anderson Legacy Mystery Series, The Rough Waters Series & The Barrington Billionaire's Series. She has had more the 3 million books downloaded and held the number one book rank on Apple Books, Amazon and Barnes and Noble.

Danielle currently lives in Charlotte, North Carolina with her husband and son. She works hard to perfect the ability to write in a noisy house and create story lines while folding laundry. She loves hearing from readers so please find her on social media!

Ten Things to know about Danielle Stewart:

1. I have a fear of whales. All whales. The noise they make. The sight of them (even on tv). I don't think this phobia has a name and I've never met anyone else who feels this way. I blame it on the 3D movie when I was 7 at the Boston Museum of Science. (Thanks Dad.)

2. When I get hungry it brings out the worst in me. My friends and family know to keep me well fed. They pack snacks now.

3. I can cook but not bake. Not even a little. Not even a box of brownies.

4. If there is a song I like it is normal to hear me listening to it a hundred times (give or take) in a row.

5. I do not, under any circumstances, read directions. Who has time for that? Making mac & cheese by the seat of my pants for the last 25 years.

6. Like a black-out drunk, I have lost hours of my life mysteriously to Pinterest. If you haven't tried it yet... don't. Save your self.

7. Before I became a mother, lots of things grossed me out. Now nothing does.

8. My favorite food is food... my least favorite food is no food. I love food. (apply the same rule to wine)

9. I do not have a green thumb. I have the kind of thumb that kills any type of plant ever given to me. Whatever kind of thumb that is... I have it.

10. Writing has changed my life. Not just the career it's created but the way I feel when I write. If you have something you love to do I hope you get the opportunity to do it.

The Tewapi people have suffered numerous injustices over thousands of years and they continue today. When a few things happen that are not just random, Shauna finds the beginning of a story that will bring justice to many from her and others reservations while also bringing down a notoriously rich and well known family, along with a whole history of current and past injustices and abuse.

Well written and again brings together many cultural and societal issues via an engaging storyline and extremely well written and realistic characters that every reader can relate to. A great stand alone or series novel.

Fire in the Heart continues with the story of Edenville and the beautiful family that includes those who are not born into the family. Bringing light to the Indian world touched me in a strong way. Shayna is a strong character with a real love for the Indians, and the story of all she does to right the wrongs faced by Indians of her past was a beautiful story. As always, Danielle Stewart has written in such a way to make the reader feel a real part of the story. This is a great read and one that will make you want to be passionate about righting wrongs!

It was a wonderful read. I would definitely recommend it to everyone who loves family. Caring and concern is so important.

This book has lots of emotion and some truth about the fact that Native Americans were made and tricked by people who had no right to change a culture just because it was different from theirs.

This 4th book in the Edenville Series ties them all together as Shayna, Frankie, Tao and Piper head back to the Reservation in Arizona to solve the mystery of the Indian School that ruined the lives of so many young boys in the past.

The characters were well described and interesting. MS. Stewart makes you root for them throughout the book. I loved Tao and Lincoln and how they shaped Shayna's look on life. Another great story by Danielle Stewart!

I began reading this series a week ago and just can't stop. It's better than anything I've read in a while. The characters just draw you in and become a part of you. Can't wait to begin the next book! I will be at a loss when I reach the end which I hope never does. Thank you for being a wonderful distraction during a difficult time.

This review covers all four books in the Edenville series. So well written that I'm still unsure whether these books are fiction, or based on fact! I already had a small amount of knowledge of both of the subjects covered in the books, namely the treatment of blacks in the southern states, even after the civil rights bills were passed, and of Native Americans. The author really brought her characters to life for me, and kept up the pace the whole way through the series.
