I'm in Vegas and I sleep with it in my room at night... and comfortably. The oscillating feature works great, but I'm stingy and just keep it focused on me! Kidding, but yes, it's a great item to have and worth the money! Very good for concentrated areas so that you're not wasting electricity trying to cool the entire living space.
I definitely recommend the product! And talk about quiet! I turn it on and fall right asleep.
My first unit did have to be returned as the box had multiple pieces floating around in it. Amazon quickly resolved this.
In general, the fan works as advertised. It looks more attractive than a traditional fan, and it is quieter - although instead of hearing the blades whooshing the air, you can hear a motor with somewhat of a high pitched whine. I prefer the white noise of traditional fan blades pushing the air, even though it is louder.
This fan seems to move a decent amount of air, although it is focused in a column rather than spread out like a traditional fan. This fan will rotate on its base to move that focused column of air back and forth.
The three speeds have enough variety to give you good control of how much air you want moved. Low is fairly low, and is good if you are sitting very close to the fan. Medium is a decent step up from low, and high is a decent step up from medium. I know some fans I've used have three speeds but two of them are so close together than you really only have two different settings; not so with this unit.
There are three "modes" - normal, natural, and sleep. Natural varies the speed of the fan every 5-10 seconds or so, which I suppose is supposed to make it feel like a breeze coming and going. Sleep is supposed to be better for sleeping, but I don't personally feel/hear any different between the sleep mode and normal mode. There is also a sleep timer where you can set the fan to go off in 1-8 hours, in 1 hour increments. One other thing to note about sleeping with this fan - if you sleep in a dark room, there are blue indicators on the top of the fan that are on when the fan is on, and there is no way to turn them off aside from covering the top of the unit with something to block the light. There is, at a minimum, the speed indicator number (1, 2, or 3) and if you have natural or sleep mode, there is an additional blue light. These lights would reflect on a white ceiling and bother anyone who likes to sleep in a dark room.
The remote control has the same setting buttons as the top of the fan It requires two AAA batteries, which are not included. It would be nice if there were a place on the tower to clip the remote when not in use, but I don't see one. There is an indentation on the back of the tower where it looks like they might have planned for a remote, but it's not the right shape to take this remote. Maybe there was a different remote included at one time, or maybe the tower design department and remote design department had a miscommunication. There is a notch on the back of the remote that you could possibly use to hang it on a screw, but the remote would hang upside down so I don't know if that is really what it was meant for.
Overall I feel that the build quality is adequate, and the unit works. It would have been nice to have a blackout mode for the control lights, and a place to store the remote control. Although this type of fan may fit better into room decor, I still prefer, and will continue to purchase traditional blade fans.
PROS:
- Quieter than a traditional fan
- Better design to fit into room decor
- 3 distinct speed settings
- Rotating rotating motion to spread out the breeze
- Decent length power cord
CONS:
- No control light blackout mode for using in a dark bedroom
- Motor has a whine sound
- The air that is moved is a narrow vertical column, not whide-spread
- No place to hold the remote when not in use
- Not sure what the difference in the "sleep" mode is, seems just like the "normal" mode
- "Natural" mode seems more of a gimmick

I have a piece of black felt I put over the light. It would be nice if someone would make one whose light can be turned on and off. Still and all, I would recommend this fan.

El nivel de aire es tal como lo que esperaba suficiente para una habitación pequeña a mediana.
Su control también funciona bien y después de casi un mes de uso, no hace ningún rechinado al girar (cosa que había leído en otras reseñas que llegaba a hacer).
