Product Description

Every journey begins with a single step: packing your Switch. Brave the elements with The Rook, a carrying case made with extra protective foam padding, durable nylon fabric, and modular compartments. The Rook includes a pocket for your console and Joy-Cons; Dock; extra controllers; cables; and whatever else you want to bring along. There is also a 4 ft. adjustable shoulder strap so you can take your Switch on any kind of trek. Wherever your travels take you, gaming awaits.

The first thing I would like to say about this case is that it's actually pretty heavy on its own, but this is the 3rd case I have bought to test, and it is the only one that I have felt is pretty decent at being able to fit just about everything I would want to bring with me on a trip. I fit the dock, cables, 2 pro controllers, extra joy cons and 2 comfort grips, the joy con cap things, a game cartridge holder, and the switch itself in this thing. The only other thing I would like to fit in here is the charger for my extra controllers, which I can actually manage to do if I choose not to bring the dock. (I have a smaller accessory that functions as a dock; the square shaped thing I have in the mesh pocket.) My only other gripe besides the weight is that this is a relatively soft case; while it is great for storing and toting your system and accesories, the edges and sides are soft, so you never want to set anything on top of the case and you have to be careful with it next to luggage or even in a larger suitcase. You may even be able to see in one of my pictures that the case bulges a bit to form around the switch charger I have in the mesh pocket. It would have been nice to add a bit more space to the top and have a slightly sturdier outer shell, but otherwise, it looks like a pretty nice case
