Publisher's summary

Ricca: You can't outrun your past, a mistake I learned the hard way. Stripped of the last piece of my innocence in the middle of the Californian desert, I waited for death. Then he appeared. My vengeful angel.

He's everything I'm not. He's everything I want. He's everything I can never have.

Ratchet: I will not let my past define me.

Abandoned by my mother as a child, I would be dead if it weren't for Jagger. He took me into the Heaven's Rejects and saved my life. Now I want to save hers. The superficial cuts and bruises on her delicate skin don't compare to the pain lurking in her heart. The pain I want to save her from.

Somehow, I will find a way to get through to her. Come hell or high water, she will be mine.

Contains mature themes.

Another good installment

This was a good continuation of the series. I enjoyed getting to know more about Rica and her past and seeing her get her happy ending after all she's been through. Narration is done well.

This. One was really good!

Rica and Wretched (Jude) story. Both needed each other, yet they had to learn how to trus each other. She flees to Kentucky to rescue her little brother. She didn’t trust anyone to ask for help. He follows her there in that tiny town they began the process of healing and trusting.
Was it a fluke? In one of the previous books a man that Wretched was “torturing” asked him if he knew where his sister was that he would tell him. Wretched ignored him. In this one surprise! It was an enjoyable listen. Ready for Voodoo’s story..

Ricca & Ratchet

Love me some Alexander Cendese!!! Narration was fantastic!
Throughout the series Ratchet has been kind of heartless. His is he enforcer of the MC and has made his feelings known when it comes to the women in the other men's lives. Although, he would protect the women if it came down to it, he just did not care to see the men taken by them. In this book we see a softer side to him. He stepped right in and was taking care of Ricca when they rescued her and now he dropped everything to help her once again. Even if she did not want his help, he pushed his way into her life and made things happen for her. This book has twist, turns, ups, downs, suspense but over all faith and loyalty. Avelyn Paige wrote an amazing story about heartbreak, friendship, healing, redemption, and of course love. I loved everything about this book.

Why??? Why??????

SPOILERS!

Why do women authors write their female leads to be wishy washy, irritating, brats? Female lead leaves the male. she blames him. She thinks he doesn't love her. She thinks he's not interested. He shows up and she pushes him away. She's got personal BS that he could help with, yet she doesn't tell him. She finally tells him SOME of it, but not the whole story, which there was no reason for her not to.

Honestly not getting all the 5* Reviews saying this is so perfect... What? Alot of the writing is very juvenile and the female leads inner monologue is infuriating.

Narration is ok. The males female voices are pretty bad unless you like voices that sound like trolls.

Grammar

I’m listening to the series -the story holds my interest-but I wish somewhere along the way the editors or someone would have caught things like “the confidence in which I started with.” Are we getting paid by the preposition? Maybe “confidence with which I started?” It seems like there are lots of times the author might be trying to make her characters sound sophisticated but misses the mark bc the structure is just wrong! And not necessarily believable that these characters would speak in that way,
