Torment of the Fallen: A Devilish Fated Mates Paranormal Romance (Dark Fallen Angels Book 4) Kindle Edition

4.6 4.6 out of 5 stars 175 ratings

Falling in love with a human is the last thing I wanted to do. Then, again, she isn't exactly human. Not anymore.

Sara was the beautiful, intriguing best friend of my boss's mate. She was off-limits, which was no problem for me. Relationships between humans and fallen angels never worked out. I could desire her from afar and never touch, telling myself that a future was impossible.

But when she was saved from death by an angel's healing powers, Sara became the carrier of an angel's mark. Now she's a target of both celestials and demons, and she doesn't even know it.

It’s been millennia since I felt so strongly for a woman, and I don't know if it’s even possible for a tormented soul like me to be happy. But I know I can’t let the demons get their hands on her—even if it means breaking my vow and forfeiting my life to the demon prince I pledged my soul to for the next year.

Can I resist the pull of her angelic mark and stay away from her, or will I be drawn to her like a moth to a burning flame that threatens to engulf us both in its hellfire?

Torment of the Fallen is a devilishly steamy, fated mates paranormal romance with a mafia twist. This is book 4 in the Dark Fallen Angels series (but it is an addition to the original trilogy), it’s a full-length novel, and it ends with a HEA.

Eve Archer writes sinfully hot paranormal romance with devilishly wicked heroes. Who doesn’t love a smoking hot bad boy (or very naughty demon) who meets his match when it comes to true love?

Eve adores traveling and puts as many of the exotic places she’s visited into her books as possible (which gives her another excuse to plan more trips)! She’s sailed the Adriatic, hunted for secret waterfalls in Bali, and ridden camels in the desert. When Eve isn’t hopping around the world researching books or writing them, she can be found wrangling her two teenagers, two moody cats, and one very energetic dog. Luckily, her wonderful husband does not need wrangling.

After listening to the first three books of The Fallen, I couldn't wait to get into the next story. Since it was only available in print, I immediately headed to Amazon to grab book four--Torment of the Fallen. The story picks up not long after the end of book three and tells the story of Dami and Sara. I loved Sara's in your face bravado and Dami's internal angst as an angel fighting his own demonic desires. I also enjoyed learning more about Caspiel and the Demon Prince Mastema and can hardly wait for their stories to come out! I would like to have learned more of the backstories for Dami and Sara, but the book did not suffer from their omission. I do think you need to have read the first three books, though, or you might find it a little hard to follow. Overall, a fun story with a sexy premise! Would love to find me a Fallen Angel!

If you’ve kept up with the series, you know the series started with a thrilling, fated mate paranormal romance trilogy. You also know who Sara and Rami are. (Sara being Ella’s best friend and Rami being Dominick’s right hand man). These two have a strong connection but have been pulled apart by Rami’s obligation to the demon prince for one year and Sara’s return to the US. But for Rami it’s more than that. He knows a secret about Sara that no one else knows, including her, and to keep her safe he knows he has to stay away from her. But when the demon prince sends Rami to NY City for a business deal, her runs into Sara again. A chance meeting that leads to Sara turning to Rami and his demonic associate for help when her 17 year old cousin goes missing. What does this mean for the star crossed lovers and the secret that Rami has kept to himself?

Torment of the Fallen is a thrilling, suspenseful, well written book. It held me in it’s grasp from start to finish (and boy what a finish indeed). This reader can’t wait to see what happens next. I can’t recommend this series enough. They are not stand-a-lones and need to be read in order so if you haven’t started the series, grab up Mark of the Fallen and get started. You won’t regret it!!!

I've read all 4 books in the series and have been trying to find the next series that was mentioned in the 4th book but cannot find. I enjoyed reading this series; however, there are a lot of errors that should have been caught during the editing process.

Having read and loved Ella and Dominick’s story in books 1-3 of this series, I was super anxious to get Sara and Rami's romance and it did not disappoint! The chemistry and attraction between these two is as strong as ever and when you add in that whole "Deal with a demon" that is in play, you know you are in for one steamy, intense and tension filled read. This book is very well written, and the complex story captured and kept my attention easily. Rami and Sara are great characters that were easy to fall for, sympathize with and cheer on. While this book focuses on this couple's story, I do recommend that you read this entire series from book one. Doing so will optimize your reading enjoyment and help with your overall understanding of the Dark Fallen Angels World. Another absolutely delightful entry in this terrific series that I am always eager for mor of. This is my elective, forthright review.

I absolutely loved this book! This story follows Rami and Sara. We know that Rami is Dominick's right hand man and Sara is Ella’s best friend (from Ella and Dominick’s story in books 1-3 of this series). Even though the connection between them is fierce, Rami has an obligation to the demon prince and had to let Sara go and she had to go to the US. When the demon prince sends Rami to New York City on business, he sees Sara again and then when Sara’s cousin goes missing she turns to Rami for help. I loved both Rami and Sara’s characters, and I enjoyed watching their connection and the undeniable chemistry between them. Just a fabulous read and one I highly recommend.

Love this series ! It has a solid foundation that is believable and leaves you wanting more. Mix in some mafia Angels who are Good/Bad boys and some Good at heart sassy demons and you never know what each page brings. These are easy reads, never any sleepy spots. The build from book to book continues the adventures. I know this author is GREAT when she introduces new characters and drops some nuggets of potential for future storylines that has you going "HHMMM, trouble coming .... " please do continue! The 2 potential arcs indicated at the end have me DYING for the next books. I would just want them to be longer. pull me in for more pages PLEASE PLEASE ! Thanks for a great read. Now WRITE WRITE ! Casiel and Mastema are waiting to tell their stories!

This is the fourth and final book in the Dark Fallen Angels series. It's a fast-paced and standalone book that will keep you engaged from start to finish. But it best to read these books in order to fully understand the "who, what, where, when, why, how come and what ifs" of three stories.
OMG! What a fitting ending to this series. A fallen angel and a human marked by an angel. Will they succeed?
Read to find out what happens.

The Dark Fallen Angels series was interesting but a bit of cliffhangers with each book. I don't usually like cliffhangers but it did not make me not enjoy each book as it's own story. That's why only 4 stars. Editing was an issue but I loved where the story was taking me so I let that go to. I loved the main characters of angels, demons and humans. I can't wait to read the redeemed demons and their human women! Eve Archer is on my to be read list.

Book 4 in a totally gripping series. This instalment is slightly shorter than the first 3 but still grips the reader at every page. I haven't enjoyed a series as much in quite some time. The characters all have individual quirks making them both charming and funny. This series is a 100% recommend from me on all scores!

I enjoyed the whole series of the Dark Fallen Angels book. I thought it might be a bit cheesy adapting another fateful love story after the original but it was written superbly with great depth of character. Looking forward to the next now.
