Put your appliances on autopilot.

Schedules enable you to automate lights, humidifiers, fans and other vital devices. You can then get on with your business while your accessories get on with theirs – all without the need for a home hub and independently of your iPhone or internet connection.

You could have a floor lamp turn on at sunset even if you’re not at home – that’s not only convenient, but also reassuring.

Automations and HomeKit scenes.

Automations seamlessly connect your HomeKit-enabled accessories. Have a light turn on as soon as the Eve Motion wireless motion sensor detects any movement. Or switch your appliances on and off based on whether someone is leaving or arriving home – and save precious power. As soon as the last person leaves home, all the lights and appliances will turn off automatically.

Combine multiple HomeKit-enabled accessories in a single scene and save yourself the hassle of running to and fro. A "Good Night" scene can turn on your bedside lamps, shut your shades and switch off all the other lights in your home with a single voice command.

Watch those Watts.

Curiosity. Costs. Conservation – reasons to monitor your power consumption and projected cost are aplenty. Eve Energy gives you the insight to embrace yours – and gain a complete overview by entering your electricity rate.

Without the Eve app or Home Assistant, it's an expensive switch

Without the Eve app or Home Assistant, it's an expensive switch
Edit - 8/22/2023:Updating this review to 5 stars. Not sure when it happened (perhaps with one of the firmware updates), but the Eve is now regularly reporting stats to Home Assistant. Updates are sent every 5 minutes and cover all of the important stats (amps, voltage, power, and energy). I added the device to Home Assistant using the HomeKit Controller integration, NOT via iOS. Though, my original comments about iOS still apply (no stats, works fine as a switch, etc.)Still have not converted to Matter. I'm content with leaving it that way until I'm forced one way or the other. Things are working exactly the way I'd like them to so I'm in no rush to change that.Original Review:I bought this expecting to import it into Home Assistant (or at minimum, HomeKit) and show the power draw in real time. Unfortunately, that was not the case.It still does a pretty good job if you use the Eve app. It has power draw and energy draw that are tracked over time. You can then get an estimated long-term cost and energy usage for various time intervals. It offers no energy or power information in HomeKit.Speaking only about the Home Assistant implementation, I was able to add it through HomeKit Controller and it immediately showed all the stats I was looking for. Unfortunately, that was the last time it updated automatically. You can kind of do a hacky interval update by creating an automation that uses the "Identify" function every X minutes. That worked fine, but I'm not sure that's what I'm looking for. Hopefully someone is able to get that information pulled into HA in real time natively.I'm leaving it at 4* though since it works really well in the Eve app. The HomeKit switch functionality works fine. I have not converted it to a Matter device yet since that is a one-way street, I'm waiting to see what other people's experiences are, and I want to figure out a better way to organize my Matter and HomeKit codes. But I can confirm that Matter is available for this device through a firmware update as of the time of writing this.If you're looking for a switch to monitor power and don't mind using the Eve app, this is a great buy (if not a little expensive). If you're looking for something more, I would probably pass on this. Maybe in the future there will be some advances in how this provides info.
