Affordable, and really fits into the workflow. After buying this I can really weigh every shot! With ease. Which is pretty cool. It was always such a pain. But now I just grab this and do it! Rechargeable too, which is nice, no battery fumbling. The only downside is the accuracy is coarse, 0.1 grams, wish it would go to 0.01. But you know what, this accuracy totally works for espresso shots, soooo, the scale does the job well!
The competition is like $250. So I really appreciate the affordable value here. I like espresso, but I am not that spendy with my money on this habit/hobby. But I like accuracy and consistency, So this scale gives me this new capability of weighing my shots, without the crazy price tag. Love it.

Step 1To ture on/off auto timer mode, tap the timer buttom several times until you hear a beep. The letter A Indicator will light up. |
Step 2Put brewing equipments on the scale and add in ground coffee. Short press the timer buttom once and the display counts down 3-2-1 on the right side. |
Step 3After the 3 seconds, the weight goes to 0. As you add water, the scale will sense the weight and the timer will start timing your brew. ( 40 seconds or more to retain the data ) |
Step 4Once the brewing equipments are removed from the scale, the timer stops and the records will flash. Place the equipments back on the scale and short press the timer buttom can continue the timer and weighing functions. Short press the timer buttom again to stop it. Long press the timer buttom to restart auto timer mode. |
For Making Pour-Over Coffee
The weighing and timing function is presented in a way that matches the pour-over coffee-making technique. It reduces the interference in the water injection process, allowing you to experience pour over coffee brewing more immersively.
How To Deal With Weight Changes
1. Make sure whether it’s constant change or repetitive change.
2. If it’s repetitive change, check whether the scale is placed level. Make sure there’s no wind flow.
3. If step 2/3 doesn’t work, take off the pad and place the scale upside down. Press the four corners of the scale to make sure the inner sensor is well connected to the scale board. Then turn it back and see if it works.
4. The RESET Button is at the bottom of the scale. Press it to reset.
5. If it still doesn’t work, please reset again or return it back. (Please note: If the weight constantly decrease after adding hot water when making pour over, and the weight is decreasing slowly, please take evaporation into consideration.)
Questions And Answers
1. Q: Can I use it with my espresso machine?
A: Please make sure the size of your drip tray is bigger than the scale. The height between your portafilter and drip tray is enough for putting both scale and coffee container.
It’s not suitable for all types of coffee machine.
2. Q: Why it’s not reacting inmediately sometimes?
A: The timer and weighing button are on the same plane. It will have a bit delay when pressing timer and weighing things at the same time.

Do Not Take It Apart
The inner structure is intricate. Don’t depart it and try to fix it by yourself.
Do Not Use Supercharge
Don’t use supercharge. USB charger on your computer is available if you don’t have a normal charger.
Don’t use it while charging.
Automatic Shutdown
At standby state, it will turn off automatically after 3 minutes with timer off/15 minutes with timer on. (Standby state means no weight changes)
- The maximum load is 2KG. The scale will make errors if you overload it.
- If the scale is power off, it will take 10 minutes to charge it before it can be switched on.
- If liquid gets into the scale. It will cause damage.

Great for the price
This might be the older model and I think they did a good job of overcoming some of the drawbacks; the sides are not attached well. To overcome the structural drawback I always lift it from the bottom and it served me well for almost six months. It may not have a physical button to turn on, and there are some times I am grabbing the scale and accidentally turn it on. The greatest advance is its charge via USB type-c and the size.I currently use this for pour-over coffee or when I pull a lungo or ristretto on my Breville Barista Express. To overcome the scale sitting past the drip tray you can just turn it to the side. Also, I saw a video of someone showing the scale slowing going down in weight, I think that was due to the surface it was on not being level. I noticed that while it was sitting on my espresso machine, so I had to play around with the seating to make sure the weight does not decrease due to the level of the surface.Consider looking at the newer model, but if you already have this one then I would say it's a good option and no need to upgrade.

+ look minimalistic and neat, would be a great accessory to most kitchens
+ fast and accurate, compared to old cheap scales, the power-up time is only 1-2sec and weighting timing is great too for me
+ accumulator instead of replaceable batteries, USB-C charging is a great plus too!
+ relatively compact size
+ feels and looks great overall for it's money
Cons:
- sensory panel is not ideal, I still feel a little bit uncomfortable while tapping for half a sec to start timer or reset the weight
- there're 3-5 times cheaper barista scales with similar claimed accuracy
