Light, ultra-powerful, and a breeze to set-up, the D24000S from DEWALT is ideal for renovating bathrooms, cutting porcelain and stone, or tiling a kitchen back splash or floor. The D24000S ships in two boxes and includes the D24000 saw and the D24001 stand. The saw motor tilts and locks at 45 or 22.5 degrees for clean, smooth cuts without the need for an accessory cart block, and adjustable rollers help properly align the table. When tackling large projects, you'll appreciate the 24-inch ripping capacity (18-inch tile on diagonal). To ensure smooth operation, two adjustable water nozzles allow for the correct positioning of spray on the blade, while optional rear and side water attachments capture over-spray so water stays in the five-gallon pan. Additionally, a 3-1/8-inch depth of cut gives you the option of cutting the majority of V-caps and pavers, and an edge guide with dual position 45-degree guide makes it a snap to line-up corner cuts. There's also an efficient 1.5 HP motor, flip-style edge guide for 90 and 45 degree set-up, and a tub-style bottom with four molded sections that fit into the included stand. And because there's a fully integrated durable stainless steel rail system in the saw frame, you'll enjoy precise cuts every time. When you're done for the day, the removable cutting cart gives you better access to the saw so you can clean up quickly and easily.

Setup of the saw was fairly easy. There aren't many parts to assemble, and they fit together smoothly. This is a well-built, sturdy saw so small women may want some help in lifting and seating the saw motor onto the saw base, but most adults will find it easy enough.
While the folding stand looked a little shaky, once the saw's plastic tub was seated atop the stand, and the assembled saw placed in the tub, it was solid. Albeit, if you need to move the table, there's no rollers (probably a good thing, contributing to a secure footing) so you'll essentially need to take the saw off the stand first, or lift the saw enough to be able to pull/push the stand but not so much that the tub comes off the stand and the stand folds.
I wondered how well the pump -- a Little Giant pond pump, I believe -- that circulates water from the saw's tub to the blade, would perform. Quite well. No sputtering, and it never once clogged despite water that grew pretty murky from tile dust.
The saw's sliding table glides very smoothly on rollers, and the rubber surface gripped tiles securely as I pushed the tile into the blade.
I used the saw's included DeWalt diamond blade to cut 12x12", 3/8" thick limestone tiles. I learned quickly that if I tried to push a tile too fast through the blade, the blade would wander just a bit. But if I allowed the blade to cut at a steady pace, and not push it hard, then I got crisp, extremely clean and straight edges.
I found that the splash guard at the rear of the saw did a reasonable but not perfect job in stopping spray from the back end of the saw during cuts. I would recommend against trying to use the saw in the room you're actually tiling, if at all possible. But I also don't want to make it sound like this is a messy tool to use. It's really not; the splash guard stops probably 90% of the spray off the spinning blade, so it seems a manageable issue to me.
Since I'm a DIYer and parked the saw in one spot in my garage for the duration of its use, I can't speak to how convenient it would be to pack up the saw and its table between home and job sites. It's not a small nor light tool, but it does perform very well.
The blade that came with the unit is a DW4763. Excellent. I ordered two more spares for future, but I ordered DW4764s XP4 (supposed to last 4x longer than average blade). Today was my first day using this machine, and I cut over 20 13-inch tiles and it cut straight and fast. Why didn't I buy this years ago????
Today, I also made my own bullnose tile from the stock I was working with. I installed a MK-275 6-inch, 3/8-inch diamond radius blade without a problem. Once I got the settings where I wanted, I made 8 pieces of 13" x 3-1/4" and 8 pieces 13" x 3" bullnose in less than 10-minutes. Incredible. I will note with 6" blade, I had to move the tile forward off the pushing guide in order to complete the bullnose cut. Otherwise, the blade would strike the sled near the measuring tape. Notably, the fence/guide on a smooth sled is awesome. What a huge money/time savings in tile and convenience as I needed custom bullnose cuts.
The entire saw and stand are heavy, awkward to move altogether as one and it takes up some real estate. Fully-assembled, this unit is big. Portable, yes--but not easily. I break it down into 4 trips (plastic trays, pump and sled, motor unit, and folding table.
Conclusively, this is a fantastic tile saw. It performs really well: cuts repeatedly straight and clean. I'd recommend this unit to serious DIYers, professionals and contractors. It takes patience and basic mechanical skills to get everything setup, but this time together also helps you to get to know the machine including features, parameters and adjustments. Just make sure you check/confirm table is sliding smoothly (rail system) and blade is 90-degrees to table and parallel with cut channel. Once you get this dialed in, it's a pleasure to keep firing out great cuts with confidence and precision. There's PLENTY of power from this 1.5 hp motor (in fact, you'll need to wear hearing protection). Just be sure to take care not to break any of the plastic components or leave anything behind at a jobsite as moving everything altogether as one really isn't practical or wise. Put it this way, even if you could move it all by yourself, you'd never get it through even a 36" door alone. Anyway, there is potential to lose something if you're not paying attention to details, so be sure to keep track of things during moves. Great saw. I'd buy another if I needed it.

The only complaint he has is that the blade wears down quickly, but keep in mind that he's giving it a very good workout,
