How I, A Normal High School Student, Went to Royal Academy and Avoided Being Trapped in Hiatus: Vol 1, A Light Novel (This Academy Extra) Kindle Edition
"This Academy Extra, Vol 1 - How I, A Normal High School Student, Went to Royal Academy and Avoided Being Trapped in Hiatus"
After a tragic accident ends Samson's life, he's given a second chance by Aki, the grim reaper in a tracksuit. Aki, a fellow fan of Samson's favorite light novel series "My Royal Academia," offers to help him, but only if he agrees to one condition: Save the story from its hiatus.
Reincarnated into the very real world of the first chapter of the novel, Samson discovers he's been granted the unique ability, "Jack of All Trades." Now able to learn any skill, talent, or weapon, Samson must navigate the everyday life of the prestigious Royal Academy, armed with the invaluable knowledge of the novel's most crucial secrets. But the stakes are higher than he could have ever imagined, as the fate of the story and his own life are inextricably linked.
Joined by the kind-hearted and determined Princess Victoria Somerset, her charismatic and confident brother Prince Nathaniel Somerset, and the wise and steadfast Mr. Stephen Ebenezer, Samson must rewrite the fate of "My Royal Academia" while embracing the challenges and joys of academy life.
Its a race against the clock to prevent the looming hiatus.

About the author
Hey there! I'm Kal Griffith, but you can just call me Kal. I'm a light novel and litrpg writer.
My first finished series is 'This Academy Extra' and its 7 books. All coming or already out on audio.
Now, before I started crafting my own stories, I was (and still am) a massive gamer and bookworm. Combining these two things was a no-brainer, like peanut butter and jelly. If you're into immersive gaming experiences or compelling characters, I think you'll dig my books.
I grew up in a small town, which was great, but let's just say it wasn't exactly a hotbed of adventure. That's probably why I've always been drawn to stories that transport you somewhere totally different. Whether it's an isekai adventure or a magical academy, I love creating places where the ordinary and extraordinary collide.
I'm a guy who loves to write and loves to game and find inspiration in the everyday stuff. I really enjoy chatting with my readers online, too, so don't be shy about reaching out.
So, whether you're a seasoned LitRPG veteran or just dipping your toes in, I'd be stoked to have you join me on these wild adventures. Let's dive into these worlds together and see where the stories go.

Kal Griffith, you have written a really cool story here, and I am MOST curious to see what awaits for our main character and the challenges he must endure. Now, even though it was an LitRPG adventure book, stats and levels didn’t really play with a major part in this story...And it actually worked well, in this case, for the plot! I’m glad, in this book, that it was more focused on the characters and the story, and less on the levels and stats... There were a few grammar errors here and there throughout the book... but nothing to get in panic for!
Overall this was a well-crafted world with memorable characters! Kal has made a fan and follower out of me, and I cannot wait to see what he makes next!
FINAL RATING: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This series has a unique premise. A character in a story that also lives in real life (maybe) is brought back when the Grim Reaper's favorite series comes to an end. The quest? To keep the story going so the Grim Reaper always has something to read.
Samson, the main character in this story is part of the incoming class at a magical academy. There are numerous secondary characters as Samson follows the quest at the beginning of each chapter to make Hero Goodlooking (the MC in the book) look good while also trying to keep everything from spinning out of control.
It must be said that this is a very light slice of life story. The daily quests don't change that. There is a lot of political intrigue involved between the different royal houses as Samson does his best to boost his house while not affecting the Goodlooking house.
All in all, I had a good time reading this. If you don't like slice of life stories, I would recommend skipping it. The editing is okay, and the story keeps moving along. The story is light on action except for the swordfights so hopefully that changes in the future.
