After fifty years of peace between the Five Polities of Axios, a beloved king is assassinated, throwing the world into chaos.

Suspicion falls on a notorious assassin, but darker forces could be at play.

Now the actions of seven individuals will determine the fate of the Five Polities.

Valda, a long-rejected princess, determined to gain her throne.

Ala, an ascetic cave-dweller, committed to protecting the young mystic she's sworn to serve.

Mali, a young cook, desperate for a life of adventure.

Cleophili, a determined politician, fighting to hold together a fragile peace.

Trevaj, a principled police inspector torn between truth and duty.

Rollo, an outcast prince, wielding a dark family secret.

The Echo, the most notorious assassin in the Five Polities, on trial for his life.
