I binge read this set because it is SO.Effin.Addictive! Book 2 pulls us right back into River’s world and it has never been hotter! By the end of this book I’m really rooting for Nathanial, he just seems like exactly what River needs you know? Again with the bread crumbs that are sprinkled through the series - absolutely love!! So many moments I wanted to poke River and it has never been harder to read a FMC make choices that you know are going to lead to heart break - she is just that relatable that you don’t want to see her hurt! If you like strong FMCs, hot steam, bread crumbs through a series, your love stories with spice, a little darkness, and a whole lot of naughty, or just want to disappear into a well written world that will pull you under - this is the book for you!

So, book two, The Kinky One, had more story to it than book one, The Rich One. It definitely kept me interested to the point that I need to know all the secrets. What is Nate hiding? Who sent the 'gift'? Why is Kai marrying Freya? How will everyone react when they find out what she does for a living to support her brother?

Honestly, I feel like she is the only adult in her family... where would her brother and sister in law be if she wasn't paying for all of their stuff. I mean, house and medical insurance? I get wanting to live free and all that, but at some point you need to support yourself. I'm not really liking Kai either, the way he treated her when she was with Tyler, I can understand some jealousy, but to make it like he's disappointed in her for being with a rich guy, that's bs.

Anyway, I've been sucked in and will be moving on to the third book.

Love the cliffhangers from book to book (for me cliffhangers are best when the entire series has already been published, otherwise I read other books and loose the plot of the series I had been reading) And lucky me I have already downloaded the entire series to my Kindle. On to "The Filthy One" Oh, I can't wait!

I really enjoyed this book. I like River and am totally loving the hot dirty talking Dr Nathaniel. He’s a sexy dom alpha male with a backstory that we don’t quite know yet. Hopefully we will find out what it is. I also love Kai. There’s nothing more special than a first love/best friend story line. I’m totally there for it. River’s dual life is complicated and it’s bringing out the crazies but it’s also bringing out her protectors but I’m guessing eventually she’s going to have to choose - I’m nervous for her but can’t wait to read more to see where and with who she ends up with!

While this book wasn’t as much as a wild ride as book one (you know what I’m talking about) I feel like it did cement my adoration of the FMC, River. All I want is for her to be happy and discover who she is going to get that HEA with.

River is fiercely loyal, loving, caring and strong. She has her weaknesses but she does not let them define her. She does her best to do what is right and she’s such a caring person. I like that we did get to see other parts of her work, the deeper parts, what you might not think of an escort doing. I also enjoyed that she was able to experience a bit of a relationship, even if all of the drama and turmoils didn’t help.

I feel like we weren’t on the edge of our seat as much but the big mystery wasn’t any closer to being solved. I have some theories but probably aren’t anywhere close to being accurate.

The ending leaves you a little saddened and confused. It’s not a massive cliffhanger, I think it hooked us just enough to get in to the next book.
