Who knew the grumpy single dad next door would turn out to be The One?

As Sloane Chambers stood at her window and creeped on the new guy moving in next door, she was immediately drawn to the tattoos, muscles, and the way his jeans hugged his perfect . . . frame. But when she caught him hacking up her rose bushes with a chain saw, the battle was on.

For Silas Bridger, moving to a new town and starting a new job was his chance for a fresh start. He’d already failed at being a husband, but he was determined to make things right with his teenage daughter and be the father she deserved. Which meant there was no room in his life for complications. Especially in the form of his gorgeous, sassy next-door neighbor.

When the attraction to Sloane becomes too intense to ignore, that line he kept firmly drawn is crossed. But there is no way he’ll let a handful of passionate, earth-shaking encounters turn into something more. He’s done with the dreaded L-O-V-E, or at least that’s what he tells himself. Because Sloane is quickly becoming the kind of complication he may not survive.

Grumpy single dad and a heroine who tries to be super positive. Teenage daughter.
The Hero is divorced. He got married and was deployed, when he ended up home due to injury, he says they found he and his now ex wife were better off as friends than husband and wife.
They coparent, but he was absent for most of his daughters life so far, admits he barely knows her. His ex, as she sacrificed her career to take the role of parent has now taken a year to go to England to advance her career.

I have a few issues with this. Views from readers may vary. It is stated that the teenager is at a difficult time of her life and they think its okay to have a mum via phone calls, zoom etc for a whole year.... hmm.

Also the Hero and ex will remain chummy even talking about possible future sex partners, this just isn't my favourite troupe.
Give me a bitchy, selfish neurotic ex any day, it's far more interesting reading.

Well written. Girl posse. No other woman/man drama.
No intimate scenes other than the Hero and heroine.
Some humourous lines.
HEA.
Epilogue.

Beautifully-written and rich with character, Temptress is a smash hit. I fell in love with the supporting cast just as much as our main couple, who you can’t help but root for from the very first interaction. Fans of single dad and small town romances will find everything they love and more within these pages. Five stars for my first Jessica Prince book and a declaration that it will not be my last!

These whiskey doll books just get better with every one. Jessica writes an amazing new H with each book & this one has a single dad with a broody attitude. I’m such a sucker for those guys. Silas comes off as a jerk most of the time & is trying to stay away from Sloane, but she is just too likable. I not only fell in love with Sloane, but Silas’s daughter, Darcy, will have you loving her too & reminding you how much of a pain teenagers can be. A beautiful small town romance with a broody tattooed alpha male will keep you entertained from beginning to end.
I highly recommend this book. Told in dual POV.

The first time Sloane Chambers met new next door neighbor Silas Bridger he was a complete and utter jerk, despite him being the hottest man she had seen in a long time. The second time he has a chainsaw to her roses, her new neighbor is a JERK, even if it he is destroying her roses due to his daughter being allergic. It doesn't get any better when she finds out Silas is the new head of security for Whiskey Dolls. All that bundled up chemistry is about to explode.

Silas was in and out of his daughters life while he was enlisted. Now he has his daughter full time while is ex is working in London and he needs to focus his attention solely on her. Silas can't deny everything about Sloane is driving him batty, he wants her and maybe he can come up with a way to have her even only for a little bit. What happens though when feelings get involved?

Thoroughly enjoyable. I thought this was a hoot. Amazing chemistry between Silas and Sloane. Silas is a alpha male gruff dirty talking man who you can't get enough of. Sloane is sweet but she has her own temper when it comes to Silas. Another terrific read from this author.

Temptress is the 5th book in the Whiskey Dolls series by Jessica Prince. Now it's Sloane and Silas's story. Sloane is so sweet, kind, loving and caring. Beautiful too! Silas, on the other hand- is a single dad to a sweet daughter. Yet he's a jerk. Like, I wanna smack him because he's a jerk type of guy. Then as the story progresses, we see how loving and extra the mile he goes to keep his daughter safe/healthy. The jerk factor starts to dissappear and the steamy heat between them jumps up like 1000 degrees. There are twists and turns that make Silas hurt Sloane. The reasoning as to why he did it is honorable to a point; this was utterly heartbreaking 💔. I cried buckets. Sloane is a truly remarkable character. Her strength, courage and forgiveness are amazing. The chemistry between the main characters, the secondary characters are awesome, and the backdrop the story takes place in was beautiful.

My Rating: 4.5 stars **********

Temptress is the fifth book in the Whiskey Dolls series and is Sloane and Silas's story. This is such a great grumpy-sunshine, single parent, enemies to lovers romance. I've loved Sloane throughout the series and was so happy to see her getting her own HEA.

ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC ADDITION TO THE WHISKEY DOLLS SERIES!! Yes, all the caps were necessary. There is a special place in my reading heart for this series and this book did not disappoint one bit. Sloane and Silas are perfection once they finally break down Silas's grumpy walls. Things to look for in this book:

Neighbors to lovers ✔️
Small town romance ✔️
Grumpy/sunshine ✔️
Tattooed MMC ✔️
Dirty talking hero ✔️
Single dad ✔️
ALL THE SPICE ✔️

Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Spice level: 🌶️🌶️.5
Angst level: 💔

When Silas moves into a new house with his moody teenage daughter, he has one sole focus. And that is his daughter. After meeting his upbeat neighbor, he immediately writes her off as being someone completely opposite of who she is. And with that, he knows that even though Sloane is beautiful, he will not be getting anywhere near her.

Sloane loves the new eye candy next door, and she expected to have a friendship like she did with the previous neighbor, but that all goes to hell when they have their first meeting. From there, Sloane finds out that Silas is the new head of security at her job. So she can't escape his vicious words that do anything but match his lustful stares.

When Sloane gets close to Silas's daughter Darcy, Silas has nowhere to go, but get closer to the person who is lifting his daughter up when she's down and making her feel welcome in a new town. And when Silas and Sloane finally give in to the sexual tension, man IT IS FIRE!!! These two have so much chemistry that it can barely be contained within these pages. Silas has one dirty talking mouth!

But let's remember - Silas had one linear goal and that was to make Darcy his whole world. Is there room in it for Sloane? Or will they burn out before they become anything more?

I LOVED LOVED LOVED this book and these characters and all of the side characters (except one - you know who you are!). Darcy's relationship with her father and Sloane individually was beautiful to read. I loved how she went from a moody teen to one who is happy where she is with so much more confidence. The relationship between Silas and his ex-wife Kim was so sweet to see too - you don't generally see exes with THAT much love and support for each other. I want so much more of this world!

Temptress by Jessica Prince is the 5th book of her Whiskey Dolls Series...

Now it's time for the story of Sloane and Silas! 😍❤️

Sloane imagined her life with the new neighbours would be as good as the one with the former owner Lucille...
There's this sinfully handsome Silas... but he's not the friendliest guy. Ugh... what can she do now? Will they've a chance to live peacefully side by side? Or... isn't it possible with a guy like HIM?

Awwwww!!! The story of Sloane and Silas was PURE FIRE!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥
OMG! When they first met?! Well, that could have been better... and the first impression is so important! Isn't it?!
The chemistry between the main characters was some kind of enemies-to-lovers vibe!
I ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT!
Sloane is one of the Whiskey Dolls. A beautiful and athletic woman with a heart of gold... but of course nobody's perfect and she has insecurities she has to deal with...
And Silas?! Oh boy! He's this sexy single dad who takes care of his daughter Darcy. The most important thing in his life!
Buuuuut... Sloane and Silas are neighbours and not just that! (I'm not spoiling here! 😉)
Yeah, sometimes it was hard to love Silas! But it's okay to make mistakes and learn from them! 😁😌
PHEW! THIS BOOK WAS REALLY REALLY HOT! As I said before - the chemistry was SO PALPABLE! O.M.G!!!
I loved the whole story a lot!!!
The relationship of Sloane and Darcy! The situation between Silas and his ex-wife Kim. I loved that Kim wasn't this usual bitchy ex-wife. They've a great connection and are awesome parents for Darcy!
I also loved to see the other Whiskey Dolls and that they're a huge family who support each other!

As always Jessica Prince didn't disappoint with Temptress! This book is full of chemistry, friendship, love, sexy times, emotions, family and so much more!
I loooooooved it!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Ooooh, Silas made me MAD. So mad. Sloane is nice. She’s sweet. She gives so much of herself to everyone. And this guy moves in assumes he’s got her pegged, and proceeds to feed her anger and nonsense. Luckily, his daughter is Team Sloane, and so is his ex wife. You see, Silas has a refreshingly mature coparenting friendship with his ex. They just knew they weren’t right for each other, but they’re exactly what we all love to see in parents who just didn’t work out. But I digress. Silas is so caught up in his incorrect feelings and thoughts that he can’t see past them. Or maybe he doesn’t want to.

As for Sloane, my heart broke for her a few times. She gives love and comfort to all, so it’s obviously her default. She’s been hurt and cracked by people, especially one who should never hurt her. But she still tries. So when Silas shows his cruelty a few times, I’m afraid she’ll lose that. I should have had more faith though, because Sloane may lose her ability to tolerate more being heaped on, but she doesn’t lose herself. If anything, she manages to snap some sense into those who matter while others do the same to Silas. And it’s just in time, too, because Silas is clearly desperate to make things right and get back on track to something he never dared wish to have again.

I loved this story so much that even when it made me so sad and when my stomach dropped for Sloane, I had to know how this gets set right. And trust me, it does!

Silas’s relationship with his daughter Darcy is strained as his ex was always there for the day to day needs and he was only able to be there when he wasn’t on deployment. Now with his ex out of the country he will be solely responsible for her and he is determined to be the father she needs and is not about to be distracted by his neighbor.

Sloane was looking forward to being friends with her new neighbor, but he is making that very difficult however the same can’t be said for Darcy. Every interaction that she has with Silas is either filled with heat or hurt and he has become a puzzle she wants to solve.

The banter between them is entertaining and the chemistry is hot so even though they had some setbacks along the way they proved that anything worth having is worth fighting for.

Wow!! Sloane & Silas are 💔🌶🔥🌶🔥💔❤️❤️❤️❤️🌶🔥🌶🔥! So, tissues, a fan, some snacks... I suggest reading with these things close by. 😉

I love Sloane to bits! Silas ... I wanted to hug him, then smack him, then hug him. His heart has been bruised in a different kind of way, and his love for his daughter is so deep, he lets it blind him to LIFE. Sloane is such a delight as she helps him rediscover that life. Or, how living feels, is a better description, maybe.

Darcy & Kim are awesome. I love the co-parenting relationship Silas & Kim have. And how Sloane is able to bond with Darcy. That whole portion is sweet!

This whole story is a delight to read, and I devoured it!

I love the Whiskey Dolls!! This series is one that a devoured.
Temptress is the fifth book in the series and is Sloane's story. This is a single dad, small town romance with a dash of enemies to lovers.

Sloane and Silas are total fire together! I could not put this book down. I loved it and the characters so much.

Sloane has one of the biggest hearts and is loyal like no other. She wears her heart on her sleeve and her emotions on her face.

Silas is trying to be the best dad to his teenage daughter. He is broody and not the most friendly man. But when you get to see his other layers, he is beautiful inside and out.

I am really excited to go back to this universe.

I've really enjoyed this series. I love all the characters. They all have struggles, but always remain there for one another, grumpy or not.
Sloane is just what Silas needs in his life. She truly brings life to his life. He's been trying to make up for lost time with his daughter and doesn't realize he's just grumpy.
Their chemistry is off the charts, but he doesn't want to risk any time he could be putting in with his daughter. Only Sloane really helps his daughter out of her shell and he sees a huge change since she met their new neighbor.
All in all it's a sweet story with tons of funny, but serious at time moments.
Definitely a great read.

Temptress is officially my favorite of the Whiskey Dolls series!! Silas and Sloan make a perfect grumpy/sunshine couple, then when you throw in his quick-whited daughter Darcy the story is TO DIE FOR. Throughout the story Silas is struggling with some major dad quilt and his feelings for his neighbor. Then there’s Sloan, who can’t stop thinking about her sexy neighbor (especially the backyard hose scene) but the negativity she’s fed from her mother makes her turn away. I absolutely adored this story and the relationship between these characters brought me to tears (in a good way).

Sloane has a grumpy new neighbour who’s stormed into her life & created all sorts of feelings she wants to ignore. He’s hot & down right rude

Silas isn’t looking for a relationship besides bringing his daughter up- when his nosy neighbour collides with his life he’s not ready for the chemistry they both feel & plan to ignore it

Fall in love with these 2 & there amazing chemistry 🔥🔥

Another great addition to whiskey dolls by Jessica Prince if your looking for a romance you can’t put down this is definitely it! ❤️❤️

Okay read

I always look forward to a Jessica Prince book. Always. There was the usual fun banter, sassy heroine, loyalty for days friends, and the bonus fun of a warm, eccentric octogenarian. There was the grumpy, sexy-as-hell single dad, and the wonderful teenage daughter. I just felt like I’d read the story before. Nothing particularly interesting or unique. It was an okay read.

My favorite Jessica Prince book to date! I couldn’t help but get swept away with Sloane & Silas and their story. The humor & heart throughout their story was everything. And add in Silas’s daughter Darcy this story was pretty perfect. I loved watching the bond form between Sloane & Darcy.

I hope there is more to come in this series. I am not ready to walk away from these characters and their world.

Has soon has this book popped up on my kindle, I dove in. This was an amazing 5 star story that had me hooked from the first page read to the last one.

Silas moves to a new town with his teenage daughter. Sloane lives next door and she’s intrigued by her new neighbors. Silas is very broody to Sloane’s sunshine. Things are about to get interesting.

I loved everything about this story. I basically devoured it in one sitting. It’s very intriguing and entertaining. I love these amazing characters and their bantering. The perfect read for a road trip. Beautifully written with a seamless plot. Bottomline this is a must read.

Although it’s part of a series it can safely be read as a standalone. Told in a dual POV with an HEA. I strongly recommend this story.

I loved the Whiskey Dolls and I love Sloane!!! She’s just an incredible person!! Loyal to everyone around her. Even the grumpy neighbor.
Silas moves in with his daughter next to Sloane and he’s struggling with his teenager. Sloane and Darcy really got it off and Sloane is so supportive of her.
Silas and Sloane… man… they really like each other but he puts up a wall until it’s finally knocked down.
Jessica Prince gives a great story with people who love each other and learn to open ip to each other. Family and friends are everything!!

I loved this book so much. Sloane and Silas had so much chemistry from their first interaction and it was amazing to see that chemistry build throughout the book.
As always I loved the female friendships in this book. It's always amazing to see these friendships and how much love they all have for each other.

Sloane's new neighbor is quite unlike her previous neighbor. Oh no, Silas is grumpy, rude, and communicates in grunts. He rejects Sloane's offers of welcoming to the neighborhood, and practically acts as if she's contagious. Luckily, his daughter forms a much different opinion of Sloane, and the two form a fast friendship. Oh well, it's not as if she has to be on good terms with the grouchy jerk, right?

Silas took one look at his gorgeous new neighbor and instantly formed a very inaccurate opinion of her. He was also instantly attracted to her, much to his dismay. He didn't move to this new town to find a relationship, he moved here to finally form a good relationship with his daughter. Nothing, especially a beautiful ray of sunshine like Sloane will be allowed to avert his focus from becoming the best dad. Nothing.

I adore Sloane and the bond she forms with Darcy, the relationship she has with her friends, and her big, loving heart. Silas is the complete opposite of Sloane - the grumpiest of grumps, a serious ass most of the time, but I do like how determined he is to be a good dad. I wanted to smack him when he constantly hurt Sloane, especially near the end, but I also couldn't fault him for some of his reasons. Their chemistry is hot, the push and pull is entertaining, and in the end I was really happy Sloane found the love she deserved.

,i>5 He’s So Grumpy Stars!

Little did Silas know when he moved to a small town in Virginia that not only would he repair a broken relationship with his moody teenage daughter, but he’d meet the love of his life in the form of Sloane Chambers.

Their meeting was less than auspicious when Silas and Darcy moved in right next door, but that didn’t stop Sloane from introducing herself and possibly drooling over all the fabulousness that is Silas Bridger. And when they find out they’re working together at Whiskey Dolls that just ups the ante!

I loved how Sloane slowly but surely became a part of Silas and Darcy’s lives. Darcy is a teenage girl uprooted from all she knows to this tiny town at a very important point in her life… entering high school. And oh boy she’s a handful, but there’s something about Sloane that allows them to connect and I loved how their relationship grew. Sloane is the woman that since Darcy’s mom is on an overseas job, comes to with her problems that she just doesn’t think her dad will understand. I have to give credit to Silas though; he tried so hard to strengthen his relationship with his daughter, and slowly but surely, we see the ice melting around Darcy’s heart. At the same time, Sloane and Silas are dancing around the sizzling chemistry that’s so apparent to everyone but them!

But when they finally do acknowledge it, holy moly… talk about needing an ice-cold drink to cool down! There’s dirty talk and position switching and clandestine moments in some public places!! And when they’re working together, Si becomes this total alpha keeping all the men away from Sloane, including a couple of men that shouldn’t even be looking her direction!

I love how their relationship and friendship develops and the closeness helps to heal a little piece of Silas’s heart. And the love Sloane has for Darcy is so wonderful. Watching how Silas and Darcy’s relationship changes is special and beautiful. And just when they all think their lives are settling down… nope Ms. Prince throws for a loop and everything becomes topsy turvy!

This book is everything I was hoping for when I first heard we were getting Sloane’s book. I adore the connection between all the characters; how all the Whiskey Dolls make appearances and are there to back up “their girl” and oh Lucille… this woman is a gem!

We’ve only got one more book in this amazing series and I’m not going to lie, I’ll be a little sad to leave this town and these women!

Temptress is the fifth book in Jessica Prince's Whiskey Dolls series and is Silas, Sloane and Darcy's addictive story!
Starting a new job and moving to a new town is a fresh start for Silas and his teenage daughter Darcy. But what he wasn't expecting was the beautiful temptress that lives next door who doesn't hide her attraction for the single dad.
Even though Silas is extremely attracted to Sloane too he cannot cross the line into something more with her, Darcy is his priority and this next year together whilst Darcy's Mom is away is the chance for Silas to redeem himself and be there for her the way he would of been if he wasn't in the forces.
However trying to keep his distance from Sloane isn't easy especially living next door to her and also working with her and the way his daughter has taken to her and the way Sloane is with Darcy is making Silas question the lines he's drawn.
Unable to stay away, Silas figures it won't hurt or cause any problems for Darcy if they keep things a secret and they can explore this connection between them in private. But their plans for something casual don't last long because being together is even more than they could've imagined and feelings quickly become involved.
"something about Sloane pulled at me in a way I couldn't ignore. She'd burrowed beneath my skin without even trying, and now she was so goddamn deep, I felt her carved into my bones."
But when an incident happens and Silas isn't there for Darcy when she needs him because he was with Sloane it sends Silas spiralling and makes him push Sloane away.
Will Silas realise he can be a great Dad and still have the girl too, before it's too late?
Read Temptress now to find out!
I LOVED Temptress, I could not put it down, it was so good I read it in one sitting! Jessica Prince is still a fairly new author to me but she is quickly becoming one of my favourites! I want to binge everything she has written and I cannot wait for what she does next with this incredible group of characters!

Watching the Whiskey Dolls find their happily ever afters has been so much fun – my heart just explodes with happiness when a new book hits my Kindle! Add in the fact that this installment is enemies to lovers means this is my catnip! Sloane and Silas burn up the pages and make you immediately fall in love with both of them. (Even if sometimes you want to shake some sense into Silas!)

Sloane has watched all her friends fall in love and find their perfect men and when the seemingly perfect man moves in next door, she shoots her shot. Only to find out that, whomp, whomp – he’s kind of a jerk. Or is he just smitten and trying to hide it? I think you can guess which one! But with a teenage daughter and an ex wife trying to work for a year abroad, he’s made the vow that no one can make him lost focus of being the best dad ever.

I always say that the truly best books give you a knot in your throat at some point and Jessica Prince ALWAYS delivers! Sloane’s vulnerability and history with her mom just made you want to give her a hug and be there for her AND storm over to Silas’s house and read him the riot act! But then you get to a chapter from his point of view and you’re back to thinking he hung the moon and wish he saw what WE see. Seeing their story unfold and watching them come into their own was nothing short of spectacular and I expect nothing less from Jessica Prince. And I’ll go out on a limb and say this was her hottest book to date!

Jessica Prince continues to knock it out of the park and delivers stories that grab your attention from the first page and don’t let go until long after you’ve read the last page. I love seeing all the past couples from all the different worlds, not just Whiskey Dolls – there are all kinds of Easter eggs! Do yourself a favor and one click this one – you won’t regret it!

❤️❤️ The next installment in the Whiskey Dolls series is here and oh oh oh it's MAGIC! As always for any series, I recommend reading it in order, there is just a way to read them that make them perfect. Temptress is one of my favorite genres, single dad and grumpy sunshine. Silas and Sloane are such a good read, their chemistry, lust and banter make their story all the more interesting to read.

When Sloane’s new neighbor moves in she thinks its going to be another friendly encounter and a possible new person to make friends with, boy oh boy was it not what she was expecting. Silas just wants a fresh start, with so much on his plate already and a pubescent teenage daughter on top of that, he has high hopes for a new place, a new home and a new outlook on life. Too bad he wasn’t Sloane.

To say that Silas and Sloane have a rocky first meeting is beyond laughable. Neither are fond of one another, but they also can’t help the intense sexual attraction they both feel. When Sloane finds out that Silas had taken a security job in her building she is less than pleased to have to keep seeing him. Then, Sloane starts to form a bond with Silas’ daughter Darcy, he starts to see that she is exactly the sunshiney steele that she shows the world. I think this is another big factor that softens Silas heart towards Sloan, and of course the off the charts spicy hot chemistry they both share.

I wish there was a way to convey the giddiness I felt while I was reading this book. JP has a way with her characters and plots that wrap her readers in a world of hope, love, family and romance. Silas and Sloane were absolute fire to read, their story plot was filled with angst, family and the best spicy bits. Silas is a dirty talker and boy oh boy was that the BEST to read, together they are a power couple that will bring many readers back again. ❤️❤️

I received a complimentary early release e-book prior to release and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This is a Whiskey Doll series book, and it features dancer, Sloane's with single dad, Silas and his 14-year-old daughter, Darcy. The story begins when Sloane spies her new neighbor, Silas. It does not go well, more like grump meets happiness.

I loved and adored Sloane. She has not had the best life, but she lives everyday with happiness, kindness and pure love. She is a total sweetheart, but she also is such a strong woman that I totally loved her. She meets Darcy and I loved their connection and Sloane becomes a big sister to her and helps her out while she gets to know a whole new town.

Silas is not just Sloane's new neighbor, he also works at the club where Sloane dances. She majorly crushes on him while he treats her like a pain in the neck and a pesky neighbor. But he also can't escape Sloane because they not only work together and live next door, but his daughter loves her, and they also share friends in common.

Sloane is this absolutely awesome person, and she is so nice to him, and to be honest he is just awful to her. He also does something that really hurts her. I am not sure I ever forgave him for what he does. But what I adored about Sloane is that she confronts him about it and makes him suffer. At times I felt she forgave him a bit too easily.

Silas is definitely a very sexy character. But he does not treat her always like the treasure she is. To be honest I was not too sure what Sloane liked about him. But I loved Sloane, and I adored Darcy. I think I needed more time to really get to know Silas to really love him. For me the story was awesome because Sloane was such an awesome character.

Silas and Sloane

This was another quick read for me. It was one of those books I read in one sitting because I couldn’t put it down. It was a single dad, neighbors to lovers, small town, workplace romance with a mild amount of angst.

Silas was the perfect grumpy, ex-military dad who just wanted the best for his daughter. He felt like he failed at marriage and was focused on making up for lost time now that he was out of the military. He didn’t see Sloane coming and fought it every step of the way. I loved his relationship with his daughter. He showed her in every action that he loved her, even if she didn’t like some of the ways he did that. I loved that he was still friends with his ex and that they communicated so well. I loved that there was no other woman drama.

Sloane was one of my favorite types of heroines. She was selfless and friendly and just wanted to be loved. She had a hard relationship with her mother but that never kept her down for long. My heart broke for her both times Silas pushed her away. She put his needs and feelings before her own and she loved his daughter. Sloane and Darcy were fast friends and even when she and Silas weren’t speaking, she didn’t let that stop her relationship with Darcy.

This was a good book. It was a little predictable in the plot, but I enjoyed it. My one complaint was the date Silas went on with Hardin. I thought it was terrible that Sloane’s best friend didn’t take the time to realize the hurt she was giving her friend by pushing that date on Silas and Hardin. And Asher never really apologized for her role in that minor heartbreak. Without that scene I probably would have given this book 5 stars but it just really bothered me.
