Customers are dissatisfied with the durability of the tools. They mention that the handle broke during regular tap use, the bits broke one-handed, and the die wrench broke. The material is cheap and the bits are more brittle than ordinary steel.

"...used to make taps and dies is VERY hard and so therefore more brittle than ordinary steel. Think, diamonds, compared to glass...." Read more
"A lot of parts broke upon first use. It cost me some components for my Harley. Very upset." Read more
Customers are dissatisfied with the tap holder. They mention that it does not securely hold taps less than size Metric M 8 and SAE 10. The case does not hold the taps in place well, the handles do not hold them tight, and the tap wrench had trouble holding on to the tap no matter how hard they tightened it. All the tap will fall out of their slot and get mixed up. The box is poorly made and the tools are not held in place, they just fall out. It's hard to get it to stay clamped on the bits. The screw together mechanism does not holds tight, which is typical for a cheap set.
"...tap with a pair of pliers to do the work, as there was no suitable tool to hold it supplied...." Read more
"...The tap wrench had trouble holding on to the tap no matter how hard I tightened it...." Read more
"...is so poorly fitted/finished it hardly works and even then is quite loose...." Read more
"...The moment you flip it up to carry it, pieces fall out of their slots...." Read more

If you're not a pro, my advice is buy this set, replace the handles when ready and replace any heavily used taps or dies with high quality when you wear one out. In this way you minimize investment on a set full of pieces you're unlikely to ever use and you can focus additional money on quality exactly where you need it. Recommended. (Just be careful not to drop that case!)
The case allows the parts to move around. I will put a spacer in the case to keep the parts in the proper place. Nice price, so it’s great for home use.
Then again, you wouldn’t expect it to be Sanp-On for the price. Thing is, I did think it would be a little better than HF. You’ll really notice the cheapness from the time you open the box to the time you assemble a tool.
That said, it will absolutely get the job done. I wouldn’t trust it with high strength nuts and bolts but it’ll chase threads and repair damaged nuts and bolts just fine. It lacks a few nice features like divots on the die that allow for easier starting but none of it is a make or break feature. The handles are very cheap and their adjustability isn’t smooth — but they’re adequate.
It is however, a very complete set and this is a tool that I only need maybe once a year — but also a tool that is essential when you do need it. I’m not doing professional work and I’m not trying miracle repairs where the quality of the tool comes into question. So, for what it is, it’s a great tool and a great value.

The Pros:
1. I measured all the pitches on both the SAE and Metric taps with an Irwin thread pitch gauge and all of mine were spot on. (They also included thread pitch gauges, but I didn't use the included ones)
2. I've used these to tap into stainless steal with no issues.
3. I tested an Irwin tap I have vs. one from this set (same size) and I didn't notice any huge difference in performance for that size (it was 10mm 1.25 pitch). Make no mistake though, the Irwin tap is better, they are just significantly more expensive for a similar set.
The Cons:
1. The cheap blow mold case does not keep these all organized well, even if you leave that "sheet" in there. If you expect to move these around a lot you're probably going to need another solution or else you'll go insane with an exploded mess every time you open it up. It also arrived to me in an exploded mess when I opened it.
2. The "tools" they throw in to use the taps/dies are terrible quality and you'll probably want something better. They can probably get the job done in a pinch, but they suck.
Conclusion:
For how cheap these are you I can't really complain at all. This set does not scream high quality to me at all and I have no idea what the long term reliability will be like, but if you're in a similar position that I am in that you want an "ok" set for the once in a blue moon job you have these should be sufficient. As others have said if you're a "pro" you might want to invest in a name brand set.
