I wanted something quiet, comfortable, wired, and 1500DPI or greater sensitivity, and this mouse has all of these features.
I have some hearing sensitivity from exposure to lab instruments with high power vacuum valves. This has caused me to be bothered by some everyday sounds that I never used to notice, one of them being the noise that my mouse makes. I hesitated to buy this mouse for a while, it looked like the best option but was more money than I wanted to pay. I don't think it is a great value at this price, but it's not insanely expensive and I don't think I could find something better for the same price or less. Now, I'm very glad I finally bought it!
I find the click of this mouse very satisfying. It is much quieter than a normal mouse, but it's somehow also much more fun to click. The feeling of the "click" is definitely noticeably different from a traditional mouse click button.
The sensitivity is perfect for me, I'm used to 1800 DPI. The ergonomics are satisfactory, it's a well designed mouse. It's not perfect for someone with large hands, but I'll get used to it. It feels pretty slick on my mousepad (make sure you remove the plastic that is covering the pads on the bottom of the mouse!), and it feels very precise and predictable to use. It is also lightweight!
Overall, I'm very grateful that this product exists, and as soon as quarantine is over I will be buying another of these for my workplace.
After five months of usage, the roller developed some play in it. It was not responding as accurately as it did when new. I was able to take it apart and blow out a minimal amount of dust and a few small hairs. The mouse then functioned like new.
Be forewarned, disassembling and reassembling this mouse can be tricky. There's a single Phillips head screw under the inspection sticker which must be removed for disassembly.
Blow the roller mechanism with forced air.
Reassembling this mouse starts with placing both black side pieces precisely onto the bottom plate before reattaching the top button assembly. After both sides are placed, begin by sliding/placing the upper left corner into the bottom plate. The rest of the upper button assembly will easily lock into place after the left corner is attached. Snap tight and replace the screw.
Good as new. Simple.
I've had mine about a month, using it about 16 hours a day, both for work and gaming, and today it's started to go: merely clicking the right mouse button no longer works, I have to click and press *hard*. I haven't been using it insanely heavily: haven't been playing cookie clicker or anything. I've never had a mouse fail so fast.
It's the right mouse button, not the left, which seems strange, as I use it far less - but many others here have reported either left or right button failing. Left, right, and middle buttons all seem to use the same type of microswitch, so I guess it's a gamble which goes first, but it seems, go they will.
I opened it up, to have a look. It's better-made inside than most mice I've dismantled, I have to say. There's one small Phillips screw under the quality control sticker, then it sorta hinges open from the back. When putting it back together, there are a lot of supporting posts that will only align if the front's properly clipped in.
As with most wheel mouse, there was a bit of cat-hair inside it, since I have cats: not a lot that can be done to avoid that, so I cleaned it, though it wasn't interfering with anything. However, the righthand microswitch didn't make contact when pressed down to clicking - it needed a little more depression. This suggests that the contact inside has been squished a bit.
Sadly the microswitch is a sealed unit, unlike some of the noisier mice which have microswitches which are just clipped shut, so you can open them and fix/clean the leaf-springs.
So, this is essentially unrepairable, though when I get a replacement I'll try cracking the microswitch open to see if it IS repairable.
My last purchase (according to Amazon) was from March 2020, and it is currently October 2023.
That tells me that this mouse lasts three (3+) years before the mouse buttons start glitching/bugging-out.
My left mouse button was starting to not register on some clicks, so that told me that the mouse was about done with its lifetime or done with its service as a computer mouse.
Anyway ... this mouse really is silent in terms of noise, and it is soft in terms of haptic feedback (a term used for keyboards more than used for mice).
Thank you for making a great product.
If I were to make a suggestion, I would say move the DPI button somewhere else.
I keep accidentally hitting it, and my mouse cursor starts flying around the screen.
I have to keep setting it to the lowest DPI "light".
(I say "light" because the levels are "dim" ... "bright" ... and "brighter" ... then back to "dim".
