The story is about love, not only and mainly romantic love, but family love, going back to what you’d love to spend your life doing instead of just going with the flow and living for appearances. In the end I could feel the tears of happiness coming up…. i could not put this book down.

I just want to day this before I give it a review. I know we are all different and one person's style of writing is right and someone else's is wrong...BUT...there wasn't any heavy detailed sex scenes on here, nor was it missed! You just don't need it for a good read. (I don't know where that came from or why!)
Hannah, Liam, Georgia and the whole cast of characters were great.
I look forward to another story by Jenny Hale.

Good read, but unrealistic

I have never written a review for a book before, but felt inclined to do so here. Although it was an easy, lighthearted read (which is what I look for these days for the reprieve from the craziness which is life), I felt it was a bit too unrealistic for me. The timeline in which the main character completes so many tasks did not sit right with me ... to renovate the inside and outside of a business in about a week's timeframe is crazy. Even to do it on her own, there would not be enough time (especially the floors!). Plus, to enlist in hired help to come exactly that week and finish it is not realistic. All this and also finding time to play baseball, bake a special dinner, go out for drinks, go to a festival, read a journal, play on a tire swing, pay all the bills, replenish the flowers, go to dance class, and do her actual job. The author thanked someone in the medical field for help with authenticity, but she should have enlisted in help with a renovation expert. Plus, to paint a wall mural in the amount of time as a dance class is not realistic at all (speaking from experience). Also, her main reason to get back home as soon as possible was to see her sick grandmother, in which she waited until she had dinner, opened presents, had cake and got a good night's sleep first?? She did not even bother to find out what was wrong or the seriousness of it until long after she arrived. And, she barely visited her grandmother! On a side note, I have never owned a cat, but I would never give a cat milk! It is known to cause digestive and GI issues since most cats are lactose intolerant. Oh, and wished for a different ending for Georgia (but that is just personal preference).

I love Jenny Hales feel good books, always incredibly heartwarming and filled with beautiful settings and communities. It’s like receiving a squishy hug reading these! I enjoyed how Hannah was forced to return back to her small town roots, where she then learns to embrace it fully, allowing an opportunity to be presented to her. It was adorable seeing her read her grandmother’s journal and watching her grasp the chance of a new life, just as her own Grandmother did years before.
Such wonderful friendships are made and reconnected with too within the story, it was so lovely to loose myself if this gorgeous book ❤️

I read this in two sessions. Totally feel good read, brimming with positivity. Listen to your heart, listen to the wisdom of those who have found difficulty in life and learned from it. I enjoyed the contrast between the picture of city life, opposed to life in an American small town. Hannah returns to visit her beloved, poorly grandmother and the family that she has neglected over the past years in her quest for a faster life in the city. She rekindles old friendships and discovers a part of herself that she hadn't realised was missing. I loved the descriptions of the flower shop. This is my first Jenny Hale book and I know where to come now if I am feeling blue. A delight. There is nothing in this book that could possibly offend anyone.
