Emotional and charming romance!

I had the opportunity to listen to The Heart of Us by Kennedy Fox and I loved it. This is book four in their Love in Isolation series and gives us an older woman/younger man age gap romance that was fun and steamy, but also touched on some sensitive issues. Though this is book 4 in a series, it can be read as a standalone, however, I have enjoyed the other books in the series as well.

Narrated by Tatum has been in a difficult relationship and is ready for a new start. This is how she meets Easton, her younger boss. When he realizes what she is running from, he is all in to help her. He is protective, caring, and patient. Tatum was strong and determined. They were friends first and I loved the chemistry they shared. Their slow burn romance captivated me from start to finish and I highly recommended not only this book but the series as well.

Happy listening!

Reverse Age Gap!

After reading The End of Us, I just knew I would enjoy Tatum and Easton's story. I love age gap romances and while I haven't read very many where the female is older, I really enjoyed this one.

Tatum has had a very rough marriage and her ex-husband is a real piece of work. While running and hiding from him, she started to work at Easton's surf shop. Easton felt an instant attraction to her but realizes his feelings might be one-sided. When they are stuck living together, their relationship and feelings for each other grow. I really enjoyed how they started as boss/employee, grew to be very friendly, and eventually find their happily ever after in each other.

There are a couple of important topics covered in this book and I think they were done very well. I especially loved the events that happened in the epilogue!

I'm so excited for the next book in this series. It was set up perfectly and I know it's going to be an angsty enemies to lovers romance!

Grateful to have received a complimentary ARC copy to honestly review.

What a ride! Easton is full of surprises!

What a roller coaster of a ride! Psycho ex determined to find his wife's whereabouts. This older women, boss and employee, on the run story was anything but easy and full of feels. Narrators And Arndt and Tor Them brought out the characters roles nicely.

Easton Belvedere and Tatum Nichol's story was filled with intensity that started off when they first met; however, their relationship for more were off limits and nothing could not go further. That all started to change when they unexpectedly had to hide out until they knew all was safe. The banter and getting to know each other grows into new heights that you cannot help but want more for these two.

Author Kennedy Fox has another hit in their Love in Isolation series that will have you believing that falling in love in isolation is always possible and looking forward to see where this series goes next.

Reverse age gap with some suspense and a lot of steam. These two will set you kindle on fire.

Easton and Tatum have great chemistry and have an awesome friendship that turns into more.

I liked the way that Easton protects Tatum!
One of my favorite parts was seeing the bond between Tristian and Easton.

5 Learning to Trust in Love Again Stars!!

I’m so loving this entire series by Kennedy Fox and this one has become my favorite. I love the connection between Easton and Tatum and when he steps up to protect her because her Ex is a bit of psycho I fell hook, line and sinker for this man.

Tatum is a woman that has every reason in the world to crawl into a hole and just let life pass her by. But she decides to not let it rule her life. And thanks to Easton going into hiding with her, not only does she get to fall in love with a man that sees beyond her being older than him, but we also see how determined she is to have a life filled with witty banter, love and passion.

The narration of this book is superb thanks to Tor Thom and Andi Arndt. The moments where I was sitting on the edge of my seat because of the suspenseful moments, were heightened thanks to the fabulousness of their embodiment of the characters. I can still hear in my head some of the most intense moments both when it comes to their sexy times as well as when I wasn’t sure what was going to happen next!

This is a perfect addition to this series. Especially with the slight interconnectedness of the stories. This can definitely be read/listened as a standalone. For me though, I’m so glad I’ve listened to them in order as it’s just made each story and couple that much better.

Really enjoyable story

Tatum has left her abusive ex and run to Florida to start over. She meets Easton who is hiring and is also able to rent a place from him. Unfortunately her ex isn’t willing to let her go that easily and follows her to Florida to cause a few problems. I really liked watching these two gravitate to each other. It is a slow burn and I enjoyed the reverse age gap where the woman was older then the male character. Great writing and characters as usual.

Love me some age gap!

This story alone was intense and I am living the life that Arndt and Thom gave this story. There are so many levels of complexity that are within this one and I lived for it hands down. I had been intrigued with Easton since we met him in the previous book being Tristan’s brother. I was not disappointed. This story is such a slow sizzling burn between him and Tatum that you legit want to combust with how these two play off of each other. Age is not a factor in this reverse age gap either regardless of how much Tatum is concerned about it. The wit and banter between these two. Those passionate moments that are so endearing and heartfelt just warms your soul. With the psycho ex in play with this one, it adds more depth to the story.

Another excellent age gap from KF!

As with any KF when I read them I also anticipate their audios that are always soon to follow. Andi Arndt and Tor Thom were perfection as usual. They are both so great at giving life to the characters.

This reverse age gap is full of so much. Easton is the most tender man when it comes to showing Tatum all that she has missed in life while being married to her abusive soon to be ex-husband. Easton wants only the best for Tatum because it is what she deserves. Tatum is such a self conscious person and Easton breaks her out of that mold and shows her her true worth.

Left me wanting more

It seems every book I pick up by this very talented duo leaves me wanting more and The Heart of Us was no different, I couldn’t get enough of Tatum and Easton, I wanted more and that really was a surprise because age gap romances are not normally a genre I’m drawn to. The narration by Tor Thom and Andi Arndt was easy on the ears and they did a wonderful job bringing the characters and their journey to life.
Tatum works for Easton and when her psycho ex targets her it’s time for Easton to step in and protect her. Forced into hiding this couple soon realise the feelings they have for each other, so will they have a future once they come out of hiding and protection is no longer needed…..
I loved this couple, I fell hard and fast for Easton and Tatum stole a piece of my heart with her strength and determination to never give up. Easton is the man we would all love in our corner, he is caring and protective but what took this book to another level was the banter and the chemistry this couple shared. A perfect addition to the Love in Isolation Series.

Favorite of the series!

I was looking forward to Tatum and Easton’s story and it did not disappoint. Tatum is on the run from her abusive husband when Easton helps her out with a place to stay and work. After her husband finds her Tatum and Easton go into hiding. The attraction between them grows as they spend more time together and they begin to open up to each other. I love what a great guy Easton is and how he does nothing but build Tatum up. Andi Arndt was great as Tatum capturing her strength and vulnerability and Tor Thom did a great job at portraying Easton. I really enjoyed this book and I’m looking forward to the next in the series.
