5 Star Review The Heart Of Us (Love in Isolation #4) by Kennedy Fox AUDIO REVIEW: I really enjoyed this story from Kennedy Fox. The narration by Andi Arndt and Tor Thom really brought this story to life for me. They were both well suited to the characters and were so easy to listen to with pleasing voices. I’m not a huge fan of age gap romance, particularly when the woman is older (I have no idea why) but Kennedy Fox’s story is such that I quickly forgot those points as I became hooked on Tatum and Easton’s story. Having met Easton before in The End of Us I was looking forward to his story. Tatum works for Easton and when her psychotic ex targets her, Easton will do everything in his power to protect her. Forced to hold up and hide from her ex Easton and Tatum are are thrust together. I really admired Tatum for her strength and determination, she refused to give in when many would have given up. Easton is totally swoon worthy, he is protective, caring and all in all a good guy. I really enjoyed the push and pull dynamic of their relationship as it developed and I was cheering these two to get the happily ever after they both deserved.

AUDIO REVIEW: It seems every book I pick up by this very talented duo leaves me wanting more and The Heart of Us was no different, I couldn’t get enough of Tatum and Easton, I wanted more and that really was a surprise because age gap romances are not normally a genre I’m drawn to. The narration by Tor Thom and Andi Arndt was easy on the ears and they did a wonderful job bringing the characters and their journey to life. Tatum works for Easton and when her psycho ex targets her it’s time for Easton to step in and protect her. Forced into hiding this couple soon realise the feelings they have for each other, so will they have a future once they come out of hiding and protection is no longer needed….. I loved this couple, I fell hard and fast for Easton and Tatum stole a piece of my heart with her strength and determination to never give up. Easton is the man we would all love in our corner, he is caring and protective but what took this book to another level was the banter and the chemistry this couple shared. A perfect addition to the Love in Isolation Series.

Once again I devoured this Kennedy Fox book in less than a day! I couldn't wait to get Easton and Tatum's story and once I finally had it in my hands I couldn't stop reading. Those two were everything I was hoping and then some. Easton runs a surf shop and has hired Tatum, an older woman on the run from her abusive soon to be ex-husband. From the day he hires her he has an intense attraction to her. Her having no place to go he also offers up his spare apartment above the shop to her....living across the hall from him. Sooner than Tatum expects her ex shows up and causes trouble for her and Easton by way of setting the surf shop on fire. With no other option Easton and Tatum flee to his family's beach house until the ex can be caught. In my opinion Easton is a man with an "old soul". The patience he has with Tatum knowing she has feelings for him but is afraid to act on them was so damn hot! All of the many "first times" he gives her from surfing to an actual date.....SWOON! The man oozes sex appeal for sure and it isn't long before Tatum can no longer deny what is developing between them. Being such a self conscious person when it comes to anything about her Easton is having none of that negativity and totally worships her body the way she deserves. No matter how many books I read by Kennedy Fox it never ceases to amaze me how they come up with such fantastic characters and plots for their stories. I am thoroughly enjoying the age gap romances they have brought to us and I am looking forward to the next book in this series. ****AUDIO REVIEW**** As with any KF when I read them I also anticipate their audios that are always soon to follow. Andi Arndt and Tor Thom were perfection as usual. They are both so great at giving life to the characters. This reverse age gap is full of so much. Easton is the most tender man when it comes to showing Tatum all that she has missed in life while being married to her abusive soon to be ex-husband. Easton wants only the best for Tatum because it is what she deserves. Tatum is such a self conscious person and Easton breaks her out of that mold and shows her her true worth.
