Grey Goose Le Citron Flavored Vodka has an exquisitely clean, fresh, bright taste. Adding pristine spring water from Gensac-la-Pallue, naturally filtered through limestone, give this premium vodka an unparalleled smoothness and exceptional taste, with a long, satisfying finish. The finishing touch of citrus oils extracted from the milder, less acidic lemons from the Menton region lends Grey Goose Le Citron Flavored Vodka its unique, citrus personality.
In crafting Grey Goose Le Citron Flavored Vodka, Cellar Master François Thibault began with the finest lemons, including those grown in the world-renowned Menton region of France. Menton lemons are larger and thicker skinned with a milder and less acidic flavor than their western counterparts, resulting in a superior lemon-flavored vodka. The thicker peels yield higher levels of essential oil, making Menton lemons the favorite of respected French chefs. The lemons are concentrated into a complex citrus oil extract to preserve their bright flavors, then expertly blended with vodka of unparalleled quality, Grey Goose.
Grey Goose Vodka is created in France, a country renowned for its craftsmanship, epicurean traditions and spirit-making heritage. The French have a deeply ingrained culture of terroir - identifying the ideal combination of quality food and drink ingredients with people, process and place. Therefore, they have an innate understanding of how to get the best out of the best. Francois Thibault, the creator of Grey Goose, was inspired by his training as a cognac cellar master and created a vodka designed to express the true taste and character of the ingredients. Francois still oversees every step of the unique journey from field to bottle.
Grey Goose Vodka is 100% traceable from crop to cork. From harvest to milling to distillation to bottling, every step is done in France, using the traditions of the Maitre de Chai. Some of our farmers have worked the land going back 11 generations. Only two ingredients are used: single-origin Picardie winter wheat and natural spring water. The inside of every bottle is washed once with Grey Goose, so it’s the only liquid ever touching the bottle. Even every cork is macerated in Grey Goose before it closes the bottle.
Though Vodka aspires to be an odorless and tasteless spirit on its own, this aspect (somewhat ironically) makes it the perfect base for flavored spirits, as there aren’t any other flavors or aromas to compete with those being added. While some premium producers steep their Vodkas with actual fruit, extracts and concentrates are most commonly used to achieve a desired flavor.
