**This title is out of print.**

Devin McGovern, ultra-successful plus size model, thought she had life figured out when she found acceptance using her curves to make money. Every photo shoot, ad campaign, and spread in a magazine gives her another decadent taste of vindication. She dips her spoon in that sinful satisfaction drizzled in hot fudge with every dollar hitting her bank account. Each contract serves as one more slap in the face of the people who had mocked her as a teenager.

After ten years coaching college football at the University of Southern California, TJ Bennett jumps at the chance to escape LA with his daughter, Rory, and return to his roots in Tallulah Cove. Being a single father proves even harder when Rory hits her preteens and loses herself in the struggle to fit in with her peers. Eager to give her the nurturing sense of community he'd been raised with, he takes a job with the local high school as their head football coach and moves back to town months ahead of their next season to settle his daughter into small town life.

TJ knows Devin's presence in Tallulah Cove is only temporary and in no time at all, she'll be jet-setting through life again, but who better to give his daughter a little perspective on being true to yourself and who you are? The best part, she'll be gone before he can lose all sense and gamble his heart away.

This was amazing. This is one of those 6-stars-if-6-stars-existed kind of books. Yep.

When I started this book, I wasn't quite sure what I would be getting. I found this through a boxed set of eight rom-coms, and they've been giving me mixed signals on how great the rest of the stories in the collection would be. Tallulah Crush was placed as the last book in the set, and damn, was this a great way to end the collection.

So, what did I like the most in this book?

Devin. I just love the girl so much. I love how she isn't afraid to swear, and I love how the parts told from her perspective were just so... her. Profanities included. It's like we're getting a totally unfiltered her, and I love it. She's tough, doesn't take shit from people, but she cares too. She doesn't go into full self-doubt mode when TJ doesn't contact her, and she knew it wasn't her problem when everything went shit between them (It really wasn't. TJ was just scared).

I loved how she helped Rory, how she's going to help tons and tons of people in the future, how she's just that nice, snarky, sassy, empathetic person who says what she thinks. She's brutally beautiful in her own Devin McGovern way and I love her for that.

I seriously don't know why there isn't more people reading this, (I suspect because it's the 7th in a series and people never made it that far?) but this deserves a hell lot more recognition that it currently receives.

I'm definitely trying out more from Casey Hagen in the future, there's no doubt about that.

We are back in Tallulah Cove and this time the story belongs to Devin McGovern and TJ Bennett. Devin, a successful plus size model, is back home and at loose ends while deciding what to do with her life beyond modeling . Her childhood was not easy as she was made fun of by the “it” crowd due to her size.
TJ has left LA and brought his daughter to the town he’s always called home. Mostly to help his daughter who is dealing not only with a neglectful mother, but also with the bullying she experienced due to her built.
Devin and TJ meet again by chance. Neither realizing they had crushed on each other. As sweet as it was watching these two, the story is more than a romance. It’s a story that brings to light an issue that sadly is too common today, bullying. Whether it be because of looks, religion, ethnicity etc. Kudos to the author for the reminder that more should be done to stop it.
Once again the author delivers an engaging and thoughtful story.
I was entrusted a copy of this book. The opinions expressed are solely my own.

I eagerly awaited this next visit to Tallulah Cove, and it was everything I wanted and more in a story and characters. Devin McGovern has returned home and needs to lose those last five pounds to continue her career as a plus size model for Vixen. When she sees TJ Bennett, her secret crush from high school, she realizes that she still has a “thing” for him although he never saw her as anything more than a friend. TJ left Los Angeles after his divorce and is raising Rory, his twelve-year old daughter, while coaching football at the high school. Devin has issues she needs to deal with while TJ needs to accept the feelings he had for Devin in the past and now. A wonderful love story as they learn to let go of the past, live their present and become a family. Loved it! I received an advance review copy at no cost and without obligation from the author. This was a struggle to get into. I wanted to like it because I love the ideas of plus sized models and self love, but it wasn’t engaging at ALL. It felt really short and any hint to character development was rushed. We are told that they liked each other in high school but the other person didn’t know. And somehow that’s supposed to translate to them instantly falling in love with absolutely no build up? I was scratching my head for most of it. There were also other characters introduced that were the flattest of flat. Not a rounded out character in sight.

This is the 1st book I read by Casey Hagen. I'm sorry I stopped reading this story 📖 at chapter 3 because it didn't grab my interest.

Read this as part of an anthology collection I downloaded for free a while ago. I honestly had super low expectations going into this, but it wasn't half bad.

Tallulah Crush was a feel good book. A successful plus size model and her hard crush from high school reconnected. This was a really positive book. Devin goes back to her childhood home to think through her life. Her career hangs in limbo till she looses 5 lbs but after running onto her highschool crush while running changes a whole lot.
It was interesting that JT had feelings for Devin in high school and why he never acted upon them and how life changes how you view others. It's interesting to see the interaction of his daughter who, at first, has trouble imagining Devin as a model. As JT, now a high school coach tries to come to terms with protecting his daughter and admonishing himself for past wrongs. Devin excellent choice for her future. A great story. I highly recommend it.

I received this book as part of an ARC review. I really enjoyed this book and the character of Devin. It is a second chance book where Devin and TJ knew each other in high school and had crushes on each other but never acted on them. When they met again, they were still attracted to each other. Devin was at a low point and made a decision to take control of her left with the inspiration of helping Rory, TJ's daughter. TJ pursued Devin and she agreed if he let Rory know first. Their one wild night together almost ends in disaster when TJ acts on wrong impressions without talking to Devin. TJ does redeem himself and they get together fully. I like the message to learn to like how you are and not how others see you.
